Literally *hurting* again on how hard my brain has to work on this assignment oh god
Seriously it’s like suddenly doing a 12 hour kayak after months of no exercise at all
specifically kayaking, too, because unlike other exercise where you *feel* your limit during, if you have good technique and rhythm you don’t feel the impact of the kayaking until you stop, and then it’s like, ohhhh what did I do why did I do itt
On the one hand, I think: if it feels this bad now I absolutely *have* to keep studying professionally at high level all my life because clearly my brain is not getting the exercise it needs!!!
on the other, I think: oh man this hurts in ways that there aren’t even words to describe the sensation I don’t know if I can take this for another 9 units over 3-8 years

the worst case scenario 2
i did decide to make this a little parter thing, but really want to be as sensitive as poss (honestly using this as a sort of therapy for what I see myself ah). So please   do not read if anything in the warnings may trigger. I very much am not trying to ‘romanticise’ these sorts of situations in any way but also be aware medically this is NOT accurate. This part is short but I think there will be more.
warnings: hospital - ICU, respirators / mention of death , maternal mortality / talk of family dynamics and abandonment of a child
[previous part]
The sight Nikki walked into is something that as a parent you never want to see. Walking into this cold and otherwise empty ‘relatives room’ to see her son collapsed in a world of pain onto his best mates chest. Tom was too busy sobbing to even notice her entrance but her and  Harrison instantly locked eyes . Not even able to muster up a greeting smile, Harrison just nodded her in, admitting her entrance to the most horrific situation.
It was about half an hour since she had been texting Haz, arranging when they’d be able to come and visit the newborn in hospital or whether it would be better to just wait till the new family got settled back at home, when Nikki had got a call from Tom’s number. With an excited grin she had instantly whipped her phone off the kitchen counter within one ring- a facial expression that didn’t last long at all.
Met with the distant sound of crying first, Harrison’s deeper voice then emitted itself from her phones speaker, alerting her to the fact everything was very not right. He’d asked her to come to the hospital, said it was Y/n, that the baby was fine and then hung up. Dom immediately agreed to come with her but right now he was still parking the car, having dropped Nikki off right at the front. It had sounded that bad.
Now, she knelt down infront of Haz and Tom, the latter who still was leaning over the arm rest and currently silently crying into his friends chest. Haz didn’t miss Nikki’s hands shaking as she reached out and rubbed up and down her sons back, the action prompting him to suddenly lean up to face her. He was broken. Totally and completely broken. Wordlessly, Nikki looked up for a second, communicating with Harrison so as if rehearsed he stood up and Nikki took his place in the chair - giving him a break from being Tom’s support. Beyond appreciative of how well Nikki could read a situation, Haz quietly but still in a hurried fashion made his way to the door.
Because he was about to crack too - Tom couldn’t see him like that, not right now at least. And so his legs, completely of their own volition, carried him down the hallways. He had absolutely no idea what time it was, all sense of time passing had completely been thrown off earlier in the morning. He was oblivious to a lot, very much in his own thoughts and only realised where he had ended up when a nurse he vaguely recognised managed to garner his attention.
“You’re here for baby Holland? She’s just round here.”
“I-“ He couldn’t respond but the nurse just nodded and then started off down the hallway, practically forcing the blonde to follow a couple of meters till they got to a perspex viewing window.
“She’s the little cutie in the far corner over there.” The brunette middle aged lady softly spoke as she pointed through the glass to the incubator in the corner. “ Don’t worry about all the equipment, the doctors already come round and cleared her. She’s good to go home when you guys are…are ready.” Her words had trailed off, Harrison guessed she didn’t know how to phrase the current ‘situation’ Tom and Y/n were in either. After a couple of moments, the nurse placed a gentle hand on Harrison’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze. “You want to have a cuddle? I know your not dad but…”
“Yeh-yeh…please.”
Harrison just felt awful. The little girl was barely hours into life and yet she wasn’t receiving nearly as much as love as she should be. Instead unnamed and alone in a cold and clinical setting. So he silently nodded away, taking in all the instructions the nurse gave as she sat him down in the arm chair next to the incubator.
Once she placed the little blanket wrapped bundle in his arms the nurse smiled gently up at Haz “You want to feed her? I’m sure she’d prefer it from you than me love?” Ah. Now Haz really was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She’d never been given a feed before - except presumably the midwifes.
“I-uh Y/n hasn’t even  so I probably shouldn’t…”
“I can promise you Miss Y/l/n would probably want her baby to be cared for by someone that loves her and that Miss Y/l/n trusts herself.” Ooof. How were nurses so intuitive? She literally read his mind and broken down all the ill-founded ideas Harrison had built up.
“I’m not her Dad.”
“But you care.” Looking down once and briefly at the squished little face that wormed herself into Harrisons broad chest a little more, he then immediately nodded in agreement. Looking almost relieved, the nurse handed him a bottle and directed him as to how to hold it. After mere moments she gasped happily, leaning back whilst the blonde boy waited for her input.
“She’s latched on easy peasy. You’re doing great, I can leave you to it if you want - I’ll only be round the corner.”
“Can you check if there’s any news on Y/n?” The kind lady nodded, before promptly exiting the room - leaving the two actually alone for the first time ever.
He didn’t even think about it, whilst Haz cradled her in one arm and held the bottle up at the angle shown by the nurse, he quietly spoke to the little bundle.
“I’m sorry you were lonely… your mum and dad love you lots and lots… we all do.” Not realising he was crying, Harrison almost scared himself when a single strangled and repressed sob escaped from his chest. “ You’re mum…. She’s a pain in the arse right?” Haz laughed a little wetly “ She’s sarky as hell and she always has an answer… you’d probably think she’s a badass… she is. And-and…. Your dad is just scared… He loves you I promise, he just… he’s worried about you mum.” Now there was actual tears welling up and overflowing his lower lash line, not matter how much he tried to blink them away. “But whatever… whatever happens. You got all of us kiddo… you got me.”
Jolted out of his thoughts by the ladies knuckles rapping twice on the door, Harrison immediately shook himself out of it, wiping his face on his arm to hopefully remove all the evidence of the slight emotional breakdown.
“Mr Osterfield… the doctor wanted me to let you know he’s on his way to talk to Mr Holland.”
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Harrison managed to get back to Tom, Nikki and now Dom before Dr Webber returned, so with a greeting nod to Dom he too took a seat opposite Nikki and Tom. His best mate wasn’t crying anymore, which could be considered a positive were it not for the sinisterly empty look in his eye. He looked almost robotic, staring almost straight ahead at the light grey wall, sat straight and rigidly except for his one hand clasped in Nikki’s.
“You went to see the baby?” Nikki broke the silence, making Harrison smile sadly over at her with a nod. It didn’t even look as though Tpm heard his mum speak, even if he was sat right next to her. “She’s okay?”
“Yeh…I gave her a bottle. She-she’s very cute.” Harrison could see Nikki’s face morph into one of kindness before she looked left toward her son. Nikki was still yet to see to unnamed girl but just thinking about her made her heart flutter. And then stop when she thought about what that little girl was already going through, barely hours into existence.
“You hear that Tom? Maybe you could go down and see her soon? After we’ve spoken to the doctor?” Nikki was only trying to do the best thing, Harrison knew it and deep down Tom did know it too. But now really really wasn’t the time for some gently encouragement from his mother, it wasn’t just Tom being a little stubborn. This was his whole entire world falling apart around him. He didnt have the energy or focus to even shoot down his mother, instead Tom chose to stay completely still - engrossed in his own thoughts.
From the outset, when you take that leap and say to a person ‘I think we should try for kids now’ you are completely putting yourself at the mercy of the other. But when they agree? Then it’s a commitment. Not it the same way marriage is - because that’s a completely selfish gesture, you get married because YOU want to be married to each other. Rather, agreeing to have a kid is a promise, a promise of something more. Promising that you are bringing this life into the world - and half of that life is yours. You create it together and it becomes a joint responsibility. You can never, no matter what people think, ever stop being a parent. At the end of it all there will be another person that knows, scientifically, it is half you. Even if they never met you - they still ‘knew’ you. They would know you had to exist, they would see things in themselves that cannot be explained rather than the influence of their creator.
And sure, it didn’t always work out that way. A parent would up and leave, a child always with questions and a sense of betrayal. But that child… they know you. Because there is half of you in them.
So it was Y/n and Tom together that was slumbering blissfully on a ward downstairs. That was the scary thing. Tom was so sure he didn’t have it in him. He  wouldn’t do this without her. He couldn’t be a dad to a baby without a mum. He couldn’t be a parent without Y/n.
Almost thankfully for the atmosphere in the room, a soft know had them all snatching their heads up the very same grey slightly potato like doctor waddled in, this time followed by 2 others; a tall, dark haired woman with a soft and empathetic smile; then another man but this one tall and slender, unlike the other two who were wearing professional clothes, he was donned in scrubs (with the scrub hate too).
“Mr Holland and uh… family” Dr Webber awkwardly greeted the new arrivals of Nikki and Dom, somehow apparently sensing they were Tom’s and not Y/n’s parents who were hours away. Oh fuck, Tom hadn’t even phoned them yet.
“This is Dr Alison Goodwell and then Dr Rohan Avinash, he is Y/n’s surgeon.” They filed in and took seats surrounding them, Dom and Harrison standing up to stand off to the side, not wanting to get in the way of the doctors. All Tom could do though was overanalyse everything. Why was the surgeon here? What was this other lady doing here? A  pathologist? — no, he wasn’t going to think like that. Then the taller and most scary looking of the three inched forward, commanding the attention of the whole room.
“Mr Holland, I just wanted to go over what happened. Ms Y/l/n developed plactental accreta, which was the cause of the what we call here a post partum haemorrhage. When you raised the alarm she had already lost, at best guess, 3 pints of blood which is a lot, there’s no denying. Dr Webber and his team quickly brought her up to my team in surgery. We transfused her with blood but we couldn’t stabilise her and the bleeding didn’t show any signs of stopping so we had to perform emergency surgery….” Dr Avinash slowed down as he took in how close Tom looked to bursting out in tears once again, offering him the chance to have a moment to collect himself. Vehemently shaking his head in refusal, Tom crung his hands together furiously. He just needed to know. “Okay… Now the nature of the surgery, because we had to be so quick…it is quite invasive and is a lot of stress to put on anyones body. That and the amount of blood she had already lost makes the situation very dangerous. Sometimes when this happens a persons heart-“ Tom’s breath halted in his throat at the mention of her heart, Harrison sharing the bleak trigger which made him shift uncomfortable between his two feet. “-notices this, it goes into what we call hypovoloemic shock, this just basically means its not getting enough volume of blood to pump properly. So we have had to stimulate Ms Y/l/n’s heart with electricity to keep it pumping-“
“You shocked her?” He felt so numb and now adrenalin was coursing through his own veins, images like you see on TV shows of her body arching up not he table from the volts of electricity.
“I’m afraid we did have to but it meant we could keep her stable enough to fix the bleed. I am sorry to say this but we’ve had to remove her whole womb because it was so damaged.”
“But Y/n?” Again Harrison lost all willpower of control, though to be fair he wasn’t sure if he was being impatient or not -  this doctor appeared to be delivering this news painfully slowly, as if to torture everyone as much as possible.
“Your fiancé lost a lot of blood and her body went through a lot” The towering doctor kept his focus on Tom the whole time, Harrison’s interjection seemingly falling on selectively deaf ears. “We’ve had to use a machine to control her breathing  and for the moment she is still in a very dangerous place. Right now she is stable but I don’t want to make any promises to you. We are nowhere close to out of the woods yet.” Seemingly, feeling compelled to add in, the brunette doctor spoke for the first time since entering.
“But it’s still one hurdle she has got through… Now that the surgeons are finished with Ms Y/l/n me and the other intensive care doctors will be keeping a very close eye on her okay? We are all going to be working with you and your family 24/7, to keep Y/n as comfortable as possible.” Her soft smile managed to somehow break through to Tom, who jerkily nodded while Nikki squeezed his hand tight. There had been a lot of that going on  today and even if Tom would say he wished nothing more that it was Y/n rather than his mums grip - he still appreciated it. The doctor continued, leaning forward so her elbows were resting on the tops of her thighs. “Right now she’s asleep and probably will be for quite a while. We first want to be sure she’s not in any pain, so she is sedated. Now assuming everything goes okay tonight and she stays stable we might want to think about possibly reducing that sedation, however for right now I hope you are all in agreement that we just want to make sure she’s comfortable?” The whole room nodded steadily in response which the doctor acknowledged with a satisfied smile.
“And we are all aware this is a lot to take in so if you have any questions or think of any please just let us know - it’s important that you guys are all fully in the know… How is your daughter?” Dr Webber started off so well, Tom was almost going to smile thankfully at him, until he mentioned it. Instantly, the cold and empty look reappeared behind Tom’s eyes as the room was held in silence for long enough to be uncomfortable. To be fair, the doctor wasn’t to know that recently Tom had taken to refusing to acknowledge he even had a child.
“I-she’s really good… the nurse there said she’s ready to leave whenever” Harrison had to show that at least someone was looking out for her, he couldn’t not.
“Okay” sharing a knowing look with Harrison, Dr Webber pitifully clasped his hands together, before looking back to Tom. “Would you like Dr Alison take you up to see her, sir?”
again pls let me know if anyone is very not okay with this, i can take it down and not write any more!

The Way to a Man's Heart Goes Through His... Cat? Ch2
Days 6-7: Jaskier gets some unexpected messages and looks after house plants
AO3
Master of Music.
Jaskier loves the sound of it.
What he doesn't love is the half-empty document staring at him from his laptop screen.
'Historical Facts, Recent Myths, Current Connections: The Witchers in Historical and Contemporary Music'
He has all of his research material on hand. He has read through it. Several times. But writing the actual research down isn't happening.
Gods above how much he wishes he could just compose new songs and throw his brain out of the window. He doesn't even believe in any gods but if praying will help writing to happen he's willing to try.
Roach sits on top of the bookshelf, in one of her favourite places to... stare at him. And judge. Or maybe Jaskier feels like the cat is judging him. She hasn't warmed up to him during the first week at all, all she does is stare at him whatever he does but doesn't let him close enough to touch yet alone to brush.
"You know, Roachie if you won't let me touch you soon your owner will have to shave you naked when he returns."
Roach doesn't answer.
Of course, she won't answer. He must be going bonkers. Maybe a walk will help. He doesn't hold high hopes, everything is going shite anyway, what good could one walk do?
He snaps a quick silly selfie of himself and Roach and sends it to Roach's owner, like every day. It doesn't take long for the mark to turn blue to note the message has been seen. No answer, but at this point, Jaskier is not surprised. There has been no answer in the previous days, why break the tradition now? Some people just aren't made for small talk and Jaskier isn't going to force it. Not that he'd want to see the man. No, that would be ridiculous.
He gets lost in his thoughts, trying to figure out how to put together his thesis in some sort of coherent way as he walks to the nearby park. His phone buzzes in his pocket for a new message. He digs it out, not giving it much thought expecting to see a message from Essi or Pricilla. What he sees makes him almost drop his phone in his shock.
Cat dad answered? And with a photo?
A honk makes him realise he's standing in the middle of the road like an idiot and he crosses to the other side to reach the park. Only it feels like he doesn't need to have a walk anymore, this is more excitement than he's had in the entire week.
He opens the message.
A selfie with a blonde girl and a man stare back at him. He feels like his heart will stop.
"Essi?" Jaskier has to talk to someone. He knows he shouldn't, he promised absolute confidentiality. But he will burst if he doesn't talk about this to someone. He will absolutely without a doubt die.
"What is it, Buttercup?" Essi drawls like she has all the time in the world.
"Cat dad it insanely hot!"
"Whaaat? He texted back?"
"Yes! He's off the wall hot? I can't deal with this! How am I supposed to just sit working on his desk knowing what the man looks like? He will haunt my dreams, Essi!"
"Well, spill the tea! What does he look like?"
"You know I can't tell you, just know he's the hottest dude I have ever seen, okay? I can't deal with this. How am I supposed to write academic bullshite when his picture sits on my phone and I could just... look at it whenever I want to?
"Jaskier, for fucks sake. Your thesis is already a year late. You have been promised a place in the doctoral programme. If you keep sitting on your arse with this, instead of being the brightest student at the Uni, you will fail, understand? Get your shite together and stop falling in love with every person you happen to see."
"But, Essiiii... He's really hot!"
"I know, darling. Just keep it in your pants until you've finished with your thesis. Then I give you my permission to go chase the hot cat daddy."
"Melitele forbid, Essi, you're no fun. I wasn't going to chase him! I don't even know where he is. I just can't get over the hotness, okay?"
"Mm hmm, I know you too well. Get back to work or do I need to remind you why you took up pet sitting?"
"No. I'm sorry. I'll take a small walk and then get right back to writing, I promise."
Jaskier does not get back to writing.
He stares at the picture in his phone trying to figure out how a gorgeous man like that could have such an impersonal home. The man has his hair tied back in a messy bun, revealing an undercut which tells the milky white locks are natural. Jaskier didn't know he had a thing for blonds, but he sure as hell does now.
The girl's young, maybe around ten years old, Jaskier isn't sure. Kids aren't exactly his forte, all of his friends are still firmly stuck in their studies instead of having families of their own.
The picture had been taken by the girl, the grin wide on her face suggesting taking it had been her idea. But the soft smile the man has as he looks at the girl is melting Jaskier's heart.
If only someone would look at him like that he could die happy.
A crash from upstairs startles him enough to put down his phone and look at the time. Jaskier tries and fails not to fall into despair. He has wasted another day, not a single word written and how he wishes he could just throw up all of his ideas into coherent text but it is not happening.
He closes his laptop. It's no use. Going like this he'll never graduate.
Roach stares at him from the door, covered in dust and... definitely more dust.
"I'm a mess, aren't I, Roachie?"
Roach doesn't answer. Instead, she screams and runs downstairs, expecting him to follow like a good servant. His phone buzzes for a new message and Jaskier taps it open.
<Water the plants. Remember to brush the cactus.>
Remember to what the what now? He stares at the message, trying (and failing) to ignore the image above it.
"What the fuck?" he mutters to himself as he makes his way downstairs to stare at the house plants he has given no thought at all up to this point. On the windowsill in the kitchen is a lone cactus, right next to where Roach likes to sit and look to the yard. A cactus completely covered in cat hair and Roach is happy to provide how that particular thing happened. She jumps next to the plant and rubs her head against it, leaving even more hair on the spines.
"Brush the cactus. Okay then..."
<How do I brush a cactus?>
<What the fuck Jask?>
Jaskier snaps a picture of the cactus and sends it to the group chat with Essi and Pricilla.
<How do I get rid of the hair???>
He gets no response. ... appears on the screen several times before crying laughing emojis fill the screen.
<Thanks a bunch -.- >
He goes to dig through the cabinet where he found cat things and discovers a comb.
"That'll have to do," he sighs and gets to combing the cactus, careful not to harm it. In the end, the cactus comes unharmed from the endeavour but unfortunately, Jaskier doesn't. His palm is adorned with spines he spends a good five minutes plucking out with tweezers.
<If i die bc of a cactus related infection I'm blaming you>
<omg what did you do>
<Squeezed a ball of hair in my hand but it was filled with spines from the cactus>
<lmao>
<lmao???? I'm suffering and you're laughing??? Essi, Pris is being horrible>
<it is only what you deserve>
<OMG rude!>
<kissy face emoji>
Jaskier looks up from his phone when he hears water splashing. He doesn't even want to know what toy the cat has decided to drown now but if he doesn't hurry the whole kitchen will be filled with water.
Roach is happily playing with a toy mouse dunking it in her water bowl and tossing it around, spreading water everywhere.
"Roach, please? Could you just... not do that?" Jaskier begs as he fishes the mouse out of the water bowl and puts it to dry in a cabinet. "This may come as a surprise to you but I do not enjoy mopping the floors after you." He complains as he dutifully takes kitchen towels and dries the kitchen. At least it's better than the time Roach tucked the entire kitchen rug in the water bowl while he was out.
"You are a menace," Jaskier tells Roach after he has cleaned up everything. Roach meows.
Jaskier feels like he has barely fallen asleep when he wakes up. At first, he doesn't understand what woke him, but another yowl has him wide awake. What has him jumping out of the bed and run is the sound of pumping, like someone was trying to unclog a toilet.
"Roach you bastard, where are you? Please don't throw up on a carpet!!" Jaskier tries to find the cat based on the noise, stumbling in the dark. To his horror, the noise is coming from the second floor, where he was absolutely forbidden to go.
"Roaaaaach...!" he whines and makes his way up the stairs.
The view that awaits him when he flips the light on is totally unexpected. It is so unexpected Jaskier has to pinch himself to believe he's actually standing in a real room.
It is, and really the only way to describe it is every little girl's dream room. The room spans the entire second floor, ceiling low on the sides showing it was renovated from an attic, pinks, purples and blues adorning the furnishing.
And right on the middle of the white rug is the vomit.
"Fuck."
Jaskier collects the rug and carries it in the bathroom and spends an ungodly amount of time washing it, hoping against all the odds, the stain would leave.
It doesn't.
Come morning and Jaskier is sure it's all been a weird dream. Unfortunately for him, the stained rug awaits him in the bathroom when he goes to brush his teeth and he groans in frustration.
Roach meows at the closed door and scratches it until he lets her in so she can stare at him. Jaskier sighs and snaps a quick selfie, hair mussed and toothbrush still in his mouth and sends it. No need to prolong it, now he can hopefully focus on writing.
He's drinking his third cup of tea when his phone buzzes for a new message.
<Roach's hair is as messy as yours>
Jaskier stares at the message, sent from an unknown number.
<Who is this?>
<Youre looking after daddys cat>
<You're the girl! From the picture!> <I'm Julian but you can call me Jaskier> <Wait you shouldn't text strange men does your dad know you've texted me?>
<You're not strange you just told me your name> <I'm bored daddy went out with grandpa and im left with uncle> <Hes no fun> <I'm Fiona>
<Hello Fiona, it's nice to meet you>
Jaskier doesn't know what else he's supposed to say. How does one talk with children? Just like normal people? Right?
Wait!
Jaskier comes to a sudden realisation; now he has the perfect opportunity to ask cheat codes for Roach to get the cat to, well maybe not like him but to tolerate him.
<How do I brush Roach? She doesn't let me near her>
The screen fills with laughing emojis earning a sigh from Jaskier. No help then.
<Give her cheese> <Shes crazy about it but only gets it after shes brushed>
Of course, why hasn't he thought to give the cat cheese? Maybe because it doesn't make any sense. Who gives cat cheese when there are perfectly good cat treats available?
Nothing else about this makes any sense either and since writing isn't happening nor is Fiona texting anything else he makes his way to the fridge and digs out a block of cheese and cuts a piece.
Roach runs at him screaming. She thrills and screams and rubs herself against the drawer where all of her brushes are.
Roach doesn't purr when he combs through her fur, but feeding her bits of cheese every time she gets too annoyed helps and like a miracle Jaskier manages to brush a cat-sized pile of loose fur to show for his efforts. He gives Roach the last piece when he has finished and tries to pet her, but she sprints away from him with an annoyed meow.
Maybe Roach doesn't hate him as much as he thought after all.

The Mandalorian Represents Everything I Hate About Disney - Quill’s Scribbles
Tumblr media
This post contains spoilers for the first two episodes, if you care about that sort of thing.
Tumblr media
Yes, after four months of wallowing in a depressive funk, your lord and saviour the Desolated Quill has returned to (hopefully) start posting semi-regularly again. And what better way to mark my return than by kicking my favourite dead horse Disney.
So what have you been doing since this coronavirus epidemic started? I for one have been spending most of the time trying and failing to persuade my mother not to get a Disney+ subscription. The rise of streaming TV services represent the very height of greed and stupidity within the film and television industry. See it’s not enough for these studios to share their profits with the likes of Netflix and Amazon. Rampant capitalism dictates that they must have every conceivable penny imaginable, hence why we’re seeing the slow gating off of content and the emergence of new streaming platforms like Disney+, Starzplay, DC Universe, HBO Max, Apple TV and YouTube. Yes, even Youtube has a subscription service now. It’s like that episode of Oprah Winfrey. You get a streaming service, you get a streaming service, you get a streaming service, EVERYBODY gets a streaming service! Except the problem is that the reason why Netflix and Amazon took off was because it was convenient to get all of our entertainment from one location. Now with content spread out across multiple platforms, customers are having to pick and choose who to subscribe to as only the very rich can afford to subscribe to everyone. It’s ostensibly a televisual arms race coupled with classism. Make no mistake, the motivation behind the rise of streaming services is not motivated by customer satisfaction nor artistic merit, but rather corporate greed. And Disney is by far the worst offender. There is literally not a single reason why they couldn’t have kept their stuff on Netflix. The only reason Disney+ exists is so that they can get their grubby mitts on even more money than they already have (which is quite a lot).
So my mum got a Disney+ subscription because she never fucking listens to a single word I say and we ended up sitting down to watch the first two episodes of The Mandalorian. The new Star Wars TV spinoff created by Iron Man director Jon Favreau set in-between Return of The Jedi and The Force Awakens.
As much as I have complaints about the way Disney have handled the Star Wars license, I confess I was curious and dare I say even excited about The Mandalorian when it was first announced. I’ve gone on record to say that I didn’t want nor care about a sequel trilogy because, as far as I was concerned, Return Of The Jedi was a perfect ending to the Skywalker saga and we didn’t need to see what happened next. That’s like wondering what happens after Cinderella married Prince Charming. We don’t need to see it. They lived happily ever after. The end. The spinoffs, on the other hand, including the Anthology films and The Mandalorian, I was much more excited for because it was an opportunity to tell different kinds of stories and explore areas of the Star Wars universe we wouldn’t normally get to see in the main films. If the Star Wars franchise has to be expanded upon, I’d rather it was like this. Lets move away from the Skywalkers and the Jedi and concentrate on other stuff. So a space western set after the original trilogy depicting a lone bounty hunter trying to make ends meet after the fall of the Empire was very appealing to me.
Sadly that’s not what I got.
I’ll just be blunt. I saw the first two episodes of The Mandalorian and I didn’t like it very much. It’s not bad as such. It’s competently made. I’ve seen some behind the scenes videos and there’s clearly a lot of talented people working hard on this show. That being said, the story of The Mandalorian is... well... kind of rubbish.
So lets talk about it, shall we?
Tumblr media
As far as I’m concerned there are three reasons why The Mandalorian doesn’t work. The first is the complete lack of tension. It’s a problem that’s plagued Star Wars since The Phantom Menace. Despite all the challenges and obstacles that are thrown at the characters, it never seems to affect them or even pose much of a threat. We saw that with Anakin Skywalker in the prequels and Rey in the sequels, and it’s the same here. The Mandalorian is this amazing dude who’s skilled and awesome and the bestest fighter ever. He can take out all these bad guys single-handedly and can do all these cool things. Except none of that is interesting. It’s boring. People like to defend Rey saying she’s no worse than Luke Skywalker, but that’s not true because, unlike Rey, Luke isn’t perfect. He struggles, he makes mistakes, and he grows and evolves over time. Rey is just this perfect woman who can do no wrong and who can pull any random superpower out of her arse for the sake of plot convenience. It’s just bad writing. While The Mandalorian never gets quite as bad as that, there does seem to be this obsession with making this awesome, cool dude, but that ends up coming at the cost of any tension or threat the story could have.
In the first episode, we see his bounty explore his ship. This could have been an opportunity to create some tension. Maybe he could try and sabotage the ship. Or try to escape. Complicate matters for the Mandalorian. But no. The Mandalorian knew what the guy was doing and instantly recaptures him. Same goes for a scene later on when the Mandalorian and some killer robot has to fight a whole army of mercenaries. How are they going to get out of this? Very easily it turns out. Not only do they beat them within a couple of minutes, the mercenaries are also clearly the worst shots ever. The robot is like seven foot tall and moving at the speed of frozen treacle, and yet they don’t manage to land a single hit on the guy. Where’s the suspense? Where’s the danger? By the end of the first episode, I was just bored senseless.
Which leads me to my second biggest problem. The total lack of originality. Is it really too much to ask for someone to actually come up with their own fucking ideas? Literally everything in The Mandalorian is basically nicked wholesale from other, better Star Wars films. The first two planets we visit in episode one are basically variations on Tatooine with the same architecture and everything. There’s even that eye thing that pops out of the door like in Jabba’s Palalce in Return Of The Jedi.  Then, to add insult to injury, we then end up on the actual Tatooine (or at least what I assume is the actual Tatooine. I mean there are Jawas). The Mandalorian is like this Frankenstein assembly of Star Wars memorabilia. Everything has been taken from other films when it makes no sense to do so. The Mandalorian freezes his bounties in carbonite, except that was a process specific to Cloud City. Darth Vader improvised a trap using what was at hand to try and catch Luke. He wasn’t even sure if Luke would survive the freezing process, hence why they tested it on Han Solo first. The only reason it’s here in The Mandalorian is for fanwank purposes. Same goes for the stormtroopers. Why the fuck are there stormtroopers?! Remember where we are in the Star Wars story. The Empire has fallen and the New Republic is taking over. Imperialists are going to be pretty unpopular, wouldn’t you say? So why the fuck would you have stormtroopers wandering around in full armour out in the open? It makes zero sense. Even the killer robot is copied whole sale from IG-88 from Empire Strikes Back. Why don’t you come up with your own killer robot design?
Then there’s this little shit:
Tumblr media
Yeah, I kind of knew this was coming because I’ve seen the GIFs circulating on Tumblr beforehand, which kind of ruined the ending of the first episode somewhat. But even if I didn’t know this was coming, the ‘twist’ still wouldn’t work because it’s not really a twist if you think about it. What actually happens? The Mandalorian finds the Child and it’s an eighty year old gremlin. Okay. So what? The only reason it’s ‘shocking’ is because it vaguely looks like Yoda. Other than that, who gives a shit? It doesn’t really mean anything.
Which leads me to my third biggest problem. Why should I give a shit about anything that’s going on? What are the stakes? There aren’t any. We don’t know anything about the Mandalorian and we have no reason to care about him or his job. We don’t know anything about the Child or why he’s so important. The only reason people are interested is because it reminds them of the other films. As a story in and of itself, there’s simply nothing there. I don’t know who any of these people are, what they want, why they want it and what will happen if they fail. So why should I give a shit? And nowhere is this more apparent than in the second episode. The Jawas agree to give the Mandalorian’s ship parts back if he retrieves an egg from some monster. Why do they want the egg? I don’t know. I literally have no idea. They never say. And yet that’s what the entire episode revolves around. This isn’t a story. It’s just random stuff happening. And what’s more it has nothing to do with the overall plot. You can literally cut out the entirety of episode two and it wouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference. Same is true of that annoying fuckface that keeps insisting ‘he has spoken’ (I swear by the end I wanted to kick that old git in the face, he irritated me so much). We waste the second half of the first episode watching the Mandalorian piss about with some toad/horse thing only to then make his way back to the ship on foot in episode two. So what was the fucking point of that then? Why is anything fucking happening?
Tumblr media
And this is what perfectly sums up the problems with Star Wars under Disney’s regime. If anything The Mandalorian acts as a microcosm for everything that’s wrong with the current movies and indeed Disney as a company. These movies aren’t movies. They’re products designed to pander to a gullible fanbase’s nostalgia. The entire sequel trilogy was basically the original trilogy repackaged and resold with nothing unique or original to offer. And the reason The Rise Of Skywalker felt so unsatisfying to everyone watching was because the story was never planned. They pivoted it to whatever the focus groups enjoyed about the previous film. That’s why the whole trilogy felt so uneven and directionless. And it’s not just Star Wars. Obviously there’s the live action remakes of the Renaissance movies, now with added nods and winks to meta commentary without actually addressing actual complaints people may have had. This also extends to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How many of these fucking movies have we had where the bad guy tries to take over the world with an Infinity Stone? Thor: The Dark World and Guardians Of The Galaxy are pretty much the exact same movie. Spider-Man: Far From Home, a film co-produced with Sony, is ostensibly a rehash of Iron Man 3, which in turn had recycled a lot of its story from Pixar’s The Incredibles, another Disney product. Even Black Panther, a movie I absolutely adore, borrows its basic plot structure from Thor: Ragnarok. Disney are so unoriginal and so lazy that they have effectively started cannibalising themselves. The Mandalorian is just the latest example of this. At least with Black Panther you had a talented filmmaker like Ryan Coogler who was able to take these borrowed elements and spin it into something more meaningful and with more emotional impact. At least there was some actual passion put into that film.
People are no doubt going to have a go at me saying I’m being too harsh and that I haven’t given The Mandalorian a fair chance. Well I’m sorry, but I’ve given it two episodes and I’m bored out of my mind. It’s a cynically produced, uninspired load of waffle. I’m not going to waste my time sitting through more episodes in the hopes that it might get good later on. That’s not how good storytelling is supposed to work and it sickens me to think that this has pretty much become the new normal for this industry.

Once Bitten, Twice Stupid prt 2
A wise man once packed up his whole life and moved to the country to escape people. That man lived happily, with his cat, his ford bronco, and high speed internet. That man didn’t entertain the notions of his two best friends, nor did he spend the night trapped at what had to be the weirdest bachelor party known to mankind. Who in their right mind decided to have a bachelors party in a haunted hospital? Rocking up in a party bus, the stench of cheap booze wafted from their sweaty skin, there were thirteen man sized toddlers to take care of. Pidge and Hunk both wore their regrets on their faces. Lance taking offence when the loud mouth of the group asked Pidge “Who pissed in her fruit loops?”, the man further daring to wag his finger in Pidge’s direction. Stepping between them, Lance knew his type too well. Daddy’s credit card had brought him everything he could ever want and need, other than brain cells. His arrogance was sickly sweet, stinging at Lance’s tongue as he took a calming breath. Vampires born vampires were supposed to have powers, all he had was the iron will of someone who was done with dickheads. Forcing his lips up to expose his teeth, he locked eyes with his target, hand coming up to take the man’s in an overly firm handshake
“Hello, you must be tonight’s tour. We weren’t informed it was a party, or we would have arranged a little entertainment for you all. Now, we do have a few ground rules. First, please don’t touch any of our equipment. It’s all highly calibrated. Secondly, please don’t piss in the hallways. Thirdly, and most importantly, you ever take that tone with my friends, I will break both your finger and your balls. Now, I’m Lance, this is Pidge, and this Hunk. How about we try this again with some manners?”
The man spluttered. His mate coming up to clamp a hand on his shoulder. The moment between them broken, Lance letting the man’s hand drop. He’d never actually hurt a human. He had his own code he lived by, even when he’d mugged he’d never fought back. If anything he’d been more concerned for the people who’d jumped him. A vampires blood was a curse he didn’t wish to spread. No... No, it was much better to turn the other cheek with the physical stuff, then sob it out over a bad rom-com and some ice cream. His Mami would always tell him how proud she was that he didn’t ever let that other side show
“Damn, man! You got told by a kid! Don’t worry, dudes, no trouble here. This dickhead’s...”
Lance blanked their names as fast as possible, fake smile in place as he nodded. His memory was unfairly good. An unwanted steel trap, where he refused to remember the annoyances before him. Maybe he was also jealous... It happened more than he liked to admit. He’d never gotten to be this kind of idiot, he’d learned too young about the things that went bump in the night. He wasn’t allowed the option of ignorance, sometimes things inside niggled at him, reminding him he’d never know nice it must be to be clueless. Ugh. Pidge had two jump scares planned for the group too... He already had Hunk’s heart to worry about, his friend too much of a teddy bear for this cruel world, and Pidge’s shenanigans.
As the drunk party started whooping, walking away from their tour guides to look at the exhibits in the main foyer, Pidge threw her arms around Lance, Lance snapping out his inner mullings as he returned the hug
“I’d forgotten you can be super scary”
Lance snorted, if Pidge thought that was scary, she should have seen of the court cases he’d been through. Nothing major, but enough for people to recognise behind his appearance he held a sharp tongue
“I couldn’t let them pick on my favourite Gremlin. She might go getting ideas of ditching me for them, then what am I going to do?”
“Be useless and hopeless? Barricade yourself at home and cry over the loss of my brilliance?”
“Mmm... all of that. Seriously, I know you can handle yourself, but don’t let people underestimate you”
“I think it was you, that they were underestimating. I thought that guy was seriously going to shit bricks when you shook his hand”
“He would have been cleaning it up with a toothbrush if he had. You ready?”
Pidge looked up at him, flashing him a toothy grin at the thought of the mischief she had planned
“Yeah. Let’s scare some idiots and take their money”
“They didn’t pay up front?”
“Maybe...”
Lance groaned
“Pidge, you can’t go hacking into their bank accounts. That’s not the kind of law I specialise in”
Pushing him away, Pidge pulled a face
“Then what good are you? What’s the point of having a best friend for a lawyer if you won’t defend me?”
Lance raised the back of his hand to his forehead, faking a swoon
“Is that all I am to you? What about my totally radical driving skills?”
“Your car’s as old as I am!”
“You leave her alone. She’s a priceless family heirloom”
“She’s a hunk of shit and you know it”
“You wound me, Pidge. I’m utterly wounded. Hunk, back me up here. Are my skill not the greatest ever?”
Hunk shuffled his feet, his friend having the habit of worrying his two pointers together even during banter like this
“There was that time we got bog-...”
“But did you die?”
“Well, no...”
Lance beamed
“There we go then. Let’s get this show on the road”
Two jump scares, one phone drop, three scoldings for touching, and two and half hours later, they were finally starting to pack up. Pidge could complain all she liked about Lance’s beat up Bronco, but she couldn’t complain over the fact that it had more than enough storage in the back to load all their crap up. Hunk had fretted through the ordeal, while Pidge had grown bolder, she dished out sass like there was no tomorrow leaving Lance in silent stitches. There was something about the way she said things that turned the most mundane of passing comments into an insult. The girl so salty the world was in danger of running out limes and tequila. As Hunk passed him the last of the camera boxes, Pidge reset the alarm system, the tour bus already long gone from the main road. Sighing as he leaned against the side of the car, Hunk was the embodiment of relief
“You okay?”
Hunk nodded as he yawned, Lance felt a kind of parental concern and the urge to send Hunk home to bed. His best friend was normal a night owl, but the weather made it a perfect night for climbing under the covers as the rain pattered on the tin roof
“Want to come back to mine for the night? I’ll drop you back in tomorrow after Pidge has processed the camera footage”
“I don’t know, man. I think I’m going to be out as soon as my head hit the pillow”
“I don’t mind either way, but you know Pidge is going to be calling first thing in morning if you go home now”
Hunk groaned. It wasn’t unusual for Pidge to call any hour she felt like it. More than once Lance had been woken in the wee hours to listen to Pidge rant about some new conspiracy theory. She was worse on road trips, she’d get so into what was going on, she’d literally jump into bed next to you, wake you up, then talk a mile-a-minute about whatever she’d worked out
“I’ll come to yours. Just gotta text the folks and let them know I’ll be staying over”
Hunk’s parents were amazing. Lance instantly fell in love with the whole clan of them. His family was big, but they loved even bigger. Hunk’s mother baked some of the best cookies he’d had in his life, and instantly made him feel welcome when Hunk left him outside the house, having formally forgotten to invite him in. Lance wasn’t sure if he needed an invite to actually enter, but he’d wanted to respect whatever family conditions that came with Hunk having friends over. As for Hunk’s father, the man ran the local automotive shop. Most people took their cars to Platt for servicing, but Lance knew he had to build bridges with the locals if he expected to last in such a small town. That didn’t stop Hunk’s dad for continuing to undercharge him when it came to labour costs, so Lance usually left the man a large tip. Plus, he knew how temperamental his old girl could be. Originally Hunk’s family had been from somewhere else, his parents selling up to move somewhere quite before retirement, or so Hunk said. Lance didn’t like to pry, not when he had a fair idea of how much shit came with a decision like moving. Hunk had finished his senior year, then moved down to Platt for college, before falling in with Pidge. The pair of them were thick as thieves, but went out of their to never make Lance feel discluded. The three of them making up what Pidge liked to call “The Garrison Trio”. A connection like this was dangerous for him, especially given he was less than human, and he’d had no intention of being best friends with anyone when he’d made his move. He couldn’t help but love them as if they were siblings he’d known all his life... unlike his real siblings who were still a little iffy about his vampire status. With all the crap in the media, Lance couldn’t blame them, not when he was supposed to be a blood drinking night stalker. He’d never even fed off an actual real life human, but the stereotype was too ingrained in culture and after the death of his Papi, the only one he really remained close to was his Mami who now lived in an assisted living complex outside of Platt. Before he’d moved, he’d been her “carer” for the five years after his father’s death. His Mami was the one who insisted she go into a home, Lance pleading with her not to, but if there was one thing that ran in their family’s blood, it was stubbornness.
Besides, the home was actually really nice. Mami has plenty of friends there, there were games and social events, outings into Platt out to places like the Zoo and the Aquarium. It wasn’t home like Cuba had been during his childhood, but if it hadn’t been so nice there was no way he would have allowed his mother to stay there. He also had a soft spot for everyone there. They all laughed over “Miriam’s hot grandson”, occasionally he was pinched on the arse or gently flirted with until he couldn’t help but feel his cheeks burning. He loved his Mami, so on weekends when nothing much was happening, he’d take her out for the day driving, wherever she wanted to go. At 82, his Mami was still full of life. Her eyes had always been kind, and her hugs the warmest in the world. No matter how many times he’d broken down over his curse, she’d tell him how much she loved him. Mami didn’t know that most of her living costs came from him. She was a proud woman who wanted him to spend his money on himself, to treat himself right and to be happy, but being with her was what made him happy.
“Dude, you okay there?”
Lance shook his head to clear his thoughts
“Yeah, man. There’s a bottle of Shiraz calling my name”
“Should I be worried?”
Lance chuckled. He couldn’t get drunk the way a human would. Mix in a little blood and then that problem went out the window. Mix in a lot of blood and he’d be recreating far too humiliating memories. Two glasses at night to relax, three if the day was bad. He kept himself in check, not wanting to let himself fall back into wallowing the weirdness of his life
“Only that Pidge is going to make us do this again. I don’t think they appreciated our “razzle-dazzle”
Hunk groaned as his hand went to his chest
“I thought I could do it, man. We knew where the jump scares were and they still scared the bejesus out of me. I love Pidge, but she’s scary”
“That’s because she’s our resident gremlin. I’m more scared of what she’s got planned for the footage of tonight”
“Y-you don’t think we caught an actual ghost on camera... do you?”
Lance played along, teasing his best friend felt a little mean, but seeing they most probably caught nothing but the sounds of the tour he shrugged as he said
“I don’t know... tonight could be the night”
“Boo!”
The ever queen of the jump scare, Pidge cackled as Hunk jumped
“Dude, you should have seen your face”
“Don’t do that! You know I’m naturally jumpy”
Punching Pidge on the shoulder playfully, Pidge laughed harder
“I’m sorry, but I’m not. Are you two losers done yet? The alarms all set and I sent the curators a message to let them know it’s all locked up”
“Yeah. Yeah, we’re done. You crashing at mine tonight?”
“Dah. I thought that was the plan all along”
“Then jump in already. Wanna make a stop for snacks on the way?”
The town had two service stations, the trip out to the 24 hour was half an hour out the way, nearly half way to Platt, yet his Mami had always told him that house guests came first
“Can I have a super large raspberry slushy?”
“I don’t know, is it before midnight? I’m not supposed to feed or water you between midnight and dawn, right?”
“For that, I’m having two. Oh, I dibs the front!”
“No fair! I was here first”
“You snooze, you lose, Hunkerino. Besides, Shay might be working”
Hunk blushed hard at the mention of “Shay”. The poor man had been crushing on her so hard that he’d failed to notice she was into him. Every time she’d ask him out, he’d say no as he didn’t want to inconvenience her. His best friend was as dumb as a sack potatoes when it came to getting a clue. Hell, Lance was sure Shay could scrawl her feelings across her face in red marker and Hunk still wouldn’t get the hint.
“She’s a friend, okay”
Pidge bumped her hip against Hunks, her voice sing-song
“A friend you’re too scared to ask for her number”
“I... but... she... I...”
Hunk stumbled over the start of what he wanted to say. The poor dude had it bad. Stepping out the way, Lance pulled the back window down before snapping the trunk door shut. Patting Hunk’s shoulder, he sympathised with his best mate something chronic
“Hunk, she’s into you, buddy. You are the best man that I know. You’ve got a whole lot to offer, and any one would be lucky to have you. I swear man. Cross my heart and hope to die, if I ever tell a lie”
“Not you, too”
“Look, all I’m saying is that from my point of view she seems interested too. I’m not trying to push into something you’re not ready for. I just want you to know I’m there when you are”
Pidge blew a raspberry at him, ruining his attempt to be serious
“You sound like such a dad. I swear you’re like some old fuddy in that body. Hunk, grow some balls and get out there”
“I don’t want to grow balls”
Hunk moaned at his own words. Pidge went into a fresh fit of laughter at his expense. Lance cringed in second hand embarrassment. He couldn’t love the pair of them any more than he did, even if he tried
“For that, Pidge, you’re in the back. Hunk, I’ve got your back, bro”

Warmth
Part 1
“Mmm, fuck. That’s it.” Taron groaned beneath you as you continued to ride him. You already knew you weren’t going to be coming from your efforts; your mind had well and truly wondered down a different path. It was one of nostalgia from your early days of dating; from a time when the romance alone would have your knickers wet with excitement before you were even half way through your date. The looks were flirty, the smirks filthy, the gentlest of touches full of lightning speed shivers of electricity. It wasn’t that all of that had faded between you. It wasn’t because you weren’t still madly in love with him, and it definitely wasn’t because you didn’t still fancy him and want him naked at every possible opportunity.
His hands ran up your thighs and around to your arse, taking a firm grip and teasing you with gentle squeezes. “Come on, yes. Yes! Fuck!... fuck, fuck.” He cried out as he came and released inside you, the rise and fall of his chest heavy with each breath as he came down from his high. You caressed your hands up his torso as you lifted your hips and freed Taron from inside you before moving over and lying down beside him, placing a soft kiss to his cheek. “You good?” He asked as he opened his eyes and turned to face you.
“Yeah, just hope that was the one.”
“Hey, don’t sound so disappointed already,” He replied immediately to your sigh. “If that was the one shouldn’t we make sure it was good for both of us? Can’t start a new life off from an unfair situation.” The feel of Taron’s hand teasing down over your stomach and pushing in between your thighs brought a smile to your face that you couldn’t stop.
“You’d literally do this all day long until I was pregnant, wouldn’t you?”
“Happily.” He kissed your shoulder, then your neck, gradually moving up to your earlobe where he sucked gently as his fingers massaged over your clit. It didn’t matter what mood you were in, somehow Taron always knew exactly what to do to turn you on and get you moaning his name. You opened your legs wider as the pleasure started to build and Taron giggled softly beside your ear. “I’d do this to you all day long if we had the time. Not that I don’t want you to get pregnant, obviously, but I love watching you like this, seeing how hard your nipples get…” He paused as he moved down and took your nipple between his teeth, applying light pressure as his fingers went harder against your clit.
“Shit…” You breathed in deeper at the feel of it all. A series of wet kisses were left to your breast as Taron moved his was back up your body.
“The blush that creeps up on your cheeks as you get hotter and the way you can’t keep your eyes open despite being in bed with this handsome face.” The stubbornness in you forced your eyes open and you were greeted by Taron’s green eyes looking right back at you. He smiled softly as you lifted yourself up off the pillow to kiss him. Two fingers dived up inside you and the kiss ended. You threw your head back down in delight, failing to close your mouth as the pleasure surged around your body and had your back arching.
“Oh fuck!” You cried as Taron’s thumb circled over your clit and picked up where his fingers had left off. “Shit, shit. Taron. Oh god.”
“I only ever hear you swear this much when I’m doing good things to you, and I fucking love it.” He couldn’t help but kiss your open mouth, receiving a kiss of desire back that mirrored your lust as your high rushed into view. It fired through your veins as you panted out soft moans and tensed up around Taron’s fingers over and over again. “That’s better.” He smiled down at you as he loved the sight of you coming apart at his touch.
A moment of silence fell between you as Taron wiped his fingers clean and then let you take up your usual place in against his side with one hand resting over his chest.
“This will happen, y’know,” He spoke softly.
“Mmm, I know. It’s just…” You stopped yourself before you said something you knew he’d take offense to.
“What?”
“No. It’s okay, don’t worry.”
“Sure?... You’ve made me curious now.” His fingers traced softly up and down your forearm, releasing the energy he was trying so desperately to contain.
“It’s fine, I was being stupid.”
“You’re never stupid… Come on, it sounded like something was on your mind and I know you were distracted whilst we were having sex too. What’s troubling you?” He left a supportive kiss to the top of your head.
“It’s going to sound bad, and selfish, and it really shouldn’t be a problem.”
“I don’t mind, if it’s worrying you I’d rather know about it so I can try and help.”
“I know, I know. You’re already being amazing.” You turned over so you could look up at him and admire how brilliant he was. “I was just thinking back to how sex used to be with us, in the very early days. How just the thought of it was thrilling. The whole event of getting ready for a date and knowing what it was leading towards. The tension and the wait and imagining how it might happen, or working out how I could get you into a certain position that I was craving, y’know?”
“The thrill of the chase.” Taron smirked knowingly.
“Exactly. But since we decided to try and start a family it’s… I dunno, killed my mood a bit? It’s all been apps and cycles, doing it because it’s the best time, having sex to get pregnant and not just because I really fancy you or because you’re so horny you can’t keep your hands off me.”
“That’s me most of the time anyway.” He laughed and squeezed you tighter.
“And I know it’s stupid because it doesn’t actually matter how it happens, the chances are still the same, but I just think it would be nice to know that our first child was created from a moment of pure love and not just a quick fuck when an app said I should be good to go.”
“I get that, and you’re not being silly at all by wanting it either.”
“But?...” You questioned and noticed Taron look away to the far side of the room.
“I hate seeing you get so disappointed when your period starts and we’re back to square one. I hate the disappointment too.”
“I know.” You pouted.
“I just thought that using the apps and tracking it and stuff would make it happen quicker. I’m so impatient for this, I want us to have a child so badly it’s unreal… I’m sorry.”
“What? You’ve not got to be sorry for anything.” You sat up and shook your head in disbelief.
“But I was putting pressure on you to have sex when you weren’t totally up for it.” He reached out and caressed his thumb across your cheek sadly.
“Yeah, but not like that! You’ve not forced me into anything, Taron, so please don’t feel like you have. I want to start a family just as much as you do.” You moved up and kissed his lips softly. “All I was saying is that I want it to come from the love we have for each other, and not some algorithm a scientist has developed. We’ve only been trying for a couple of months anyway and my body is probably still adjusting back to it’s natural hormone levels. We just need to give it time.”
“Time and romance.” The soft smile returned to his face. “I can wine you, dine you… surprise you.”
“Exactly.”
“Leave it with me.” He smirked.
“Oh, I will! Because once I am pregnant I’ll be the one doing all the hard work.” You teased.
“And you can remind me of that as many times as you like because I’ll be way too happy to get annoyed!” He sat up and kissed you quickly.
“I’ll hold you to that! Now what do you want for dinner tonight, I need to get to the shops before they close and all this mid afternoon sex has got me out of sync.”
“Muscles… they’re meant to be an aphrodisiac, right?”
“Taron!” You picked up your pillow and hit him over the head with it.
“I was joking!”
“Not funny.” He pounced forward and tackled you down to the bed below, kissing your neck and pinning your arms up above your head. It dissolved your annoyance instantly and had you giggling as you wrapped your legs up and over his hips as you tried to fight him back.
“Do you have to go? Can’t we just get a takeaway tonight and carry on with this?” He looked down over you with a knowing glint in his eye. “Don’t look at me like that! This baby isn’t going to make itself you know…”
“Save it for later.” You pulled him down for a loving kiss before unwrapping yourself from his body and getting out of bed for the second time that day. I love you, you horny bastard.”
Request: Would you do a smutty fic where taron and reader are trying to get pregnant.

Can you do a scenario where all might meets his girlfriend in high school, possibly like a POC girl like you did last time?? and they start dating but fast forward years later and their married. She sees all might fighting a villain and she they caught off the TV when she sees him getting extremely injured and when he comes home, he finds her sobbing while listening to the radio and watching videos of them when they were younger. I live for angst and then fluff.
Toshinori Yagi x Reader
Summary: “We’ve been together for years. I can’t lose you. Not now, not ever.” ( Listen to this song when you read the party scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUGFhVWPOFs )
You had been dating Toshinori since high school. Toshinori had been a bit of a wild card and everyone thought he was going to be a bachelor his entire life. The two of you had met at a party and while neither of you expected to still be together, you had been happily married for over a decade.
You were invited to a final send off party for all the 3rd years. You were all set to graduate within the next two days and you felt like for once in your life, you needed to let loose.
The party was being hosted in the house of the a boy who you didn’t know. You were all encouraged to bring liquor as it was a high school party and no one was the age to buy it. You had brought a twelve pack of Mike’s Hard Lemonade. It was a starter drink for anyone who was a light weight.
You sat around with the same cup of tequila as you mingled around. Students were already acting like they were drunk off their ass as they ushered themselves to different rooms in the house. To do what? You didn’t want to know.
“American girl! You should totally pick the next song!” A boy slurred into your ear as he gave you a napkin. “We need to shit to dance to since everyone in this party is acting lame!”
You laughed, “Sure. Just type this song in and you should be good to go!”
You had written down “We be burning” by Sean Paul. It was a good song for everyone to dance to. Although it was totally out of the music element for Japan, you knew everyone would dance to it anyway.
Just as you went for your second drink, you felt the first cup start to kick in. You had participated in a couple of rounds of beer pong as you continued to ask for you cup to be refilled. You friend had cautioned you to watch your drinking but did you really care? No, not really.
“Hey, you’re really good at beer pong!” You heard a voice say from behind you. “You should really be my partner next time.”
You turned around to see Yagi Toshinori. He was in your class and although the two of you were classmates, you never spoke to each other. He was extremely popular amongst the girls and you had never been the type of flock the popular school crush. You were a bit more reserved and understood other people’s boundaries.
“Thanks! Well, if they decide to have another round, I’ll call you over!” You said smiling as you slapped your hand on his shoulder. “I don’t think they are though.”
“Well, how about you dance the next song with me?” Toshinori asked as he held his hand out for you. It was the song you had suggested and all of the people flocked the living room floor.
You grabbed his hand and put your arms around his neck. You started to grind on him slowly as you started to sing the words into his ears. (I really suggest you listen to the song or else it’s not going to make sense. It’s really just the beat of the song that you should listen too.)
“Everyday we be burnin’ not concernin’ what nobody wanna say. We be earnin’ dollars turning ‘cause we mind de pon we pay. More than gold and oils and diamonds– girls, we need dem everyday. Recognize it, we be pimpin as we ridin. ”
“I didn’t know you were this much of a great dancer,” Toshinori slurred as you continued to dance on him. “I would have asked you out to dance with me a long time ago.
“I know your infatuation with American things so I should have mentioned that I am half American, the other half Mexican,” You giggled as you turned around to grind on him with your arse in his crotch area.
Toshinori didn’t speak as he enjoyed the dance that was being given to him. He knew that if you weren’t as drunk as you were, he wouldn’t be getting the dance in the first place. If he wasn’t as drunk as he was, he wouldn’t have accepted it either. In the back of both your minds, the last bit of sober thoughts went away as you both accepted the last two shots of vodka.
“How about we head back to my place? I need to lay down before I pass out,” Toshinori managed out as he grabbed your hand and led you outside of the house.
“Maybe I can give you the dance I just gave you again. This time with less clothes on and you on a chair,” You whispered as he carried you bridal style. You slowly started to kiss him down to his collarbone and he just knew he had to get home.
The next morning, you woke up in Toshinori’s bed. The birds chirping extremely loud and you felt like your head was about to explode. You felt a hand tighten against you as you finally started to regain your memory from last night.
“Toshinori! Toshinori, get up!” You whispered as you shook him awake.
He groaned and opened his eyes. Toshinori looking extremely rough as his hair was all over the place. You could say the same thing about you. Your hair standing up in different places and you breath reeked of alcohol.
“Don’t tell me we did something last night,” Toshinori groaned as he finally got a good look at the two of you. “Please tell me we both consented to this.”
You couldn’t help but laugh as you covered yourself with the blanket, “With the way we were last night, I don’t think either of us were sober enough to do anything.”
You ran your hands through you hair as you tried to start gathering your things together. Before you could even step foot on the floor, Toshinori grabbed you and pulled you back on the bed.
“What’s up?” You asked as he started to close his eyes.
Toshinori shrugged, “You should stay a little longer. I know you live on campus so you have no one to come home too.”
You thought for a second before giving in. You laid back down and Toshinori immediately cuddling you. His hand rubbing your sides as you laid your head on his chest.
“I should really treat you to dinner soon. Have any plans later?” Toshinori asked. “You know, with you being my girlfriend and all.”
You felt yourself blushing different shades of red. You knew he was bold but not that bold.
“Sure,” You giggled as you ran your hand through his golden locks.
You had been watching the TV intensely. There was a major attack in the downtown area. While everyone assumed that All Might was going to take care of it in a flash, the villain managed to strike him hard enough for him to go down in pain.
“Toshinori, you need to come back home,” You whispered as you clutched your hand that held the beautiful promise ring.
The two of you had already found out the consequences of his quirk recently. His body was about to start giving out if he didn’t stop fighting and while he was already training his next successor, you knew he would continue his pro hero work until he felt finished training Izuku.
The camera of the news station panned into All Might as he was holding his left side. If his body gave out, the whole world would know his secret. His body showing the major consequences of his quirk and you begged him to start distancing himself from major city attacks but he never listened.
“Fuck,” You whispered as you clutched your phone to your heart. “He’s going to be alright. He has to be alright.”
Suddenly, the TV cut out and the last thing you had seen was Toshinori being carried out on a stretcher. He wasn’t moving. Almost like he was dead.
Your sobs continued as you felt your phone vibrate. It was a video message from your best friend. She had known the secret Toshinori and was probably texting you to check up on you. You looked at the video and you felt the sobs come even harder.
It was the video of you and Toshinori at the stupid party that got the two of you together. It was blurry as hell as it had been recorded on one of those RCA Camcorders. You could see the two of you being completely wasted as you were dancing like an idiot on him.
“Thought you would need to see this. I hope he’s alright.”
It soon turned into you watching videos of the two of you that you had on your phone. They were all different occasions but the genuine happiness made you cry even harder.
You felt your sobs soon turn into you having an anxiety attack. You were gasping for air more than you actually cried. You heart was racing and you felt your mind being fogged. You had crashed up against the pillows as your anxiety attack put you to sleep.
Toshinori walked into the house the next morning looking like he usually did. Small cuts on his face but after Recovery Girl worked around the clock to fix him, he walked out of the hospital with a sprained ankle as his major injury. He could see the videos of the two of you playing on the TV as he seen your tear stained face. The guilt immediately bubbling up.
“Get up,” Toshinori whispered as he shook your leg.
You jumped up and seen your husband looking down at you with a small smile. You tackled him into a hug as you sobbed into his shoulder. He knew you were worried out of your mind, as every wife had the right to be.
“Don’t you do that ever again. What did I tell you? You need to slow down. I was worried sick but since you specifically told me never to call you while you were on duty, I didn’t try. Fuck Toshinori, remember what the doctors told you? Your body isn’t meant to handle those injuries anymore. You aren’t 25. You’re in your 40s! Sometimes, I feel like you don’t even listen to me anymore,” You lectured as your tears kept coming down.
Toshinori slowly bent down on his knee as he took out a black box. Your back towards him as you didn’t feel like showing him your tears.
“I’m sorry. You have every right to be mad at me. Just please, turn around,” He whispered as you turned around with an attitude. “I know I can’t fight like that anymore. After last night, Recovery Girl nearly killed me herself when she found out the status of my health. While I was covering from surgery, I had a dream of you. You were laying flowers on my grave next to Izuku. The two most important people in my life seeing me dead is not the life I want. This time I promise you, I will start to push myself to not fight every villain that attacks the city. I also want to ask you this question, will you marry me?”
“It took your near death experience to finally realize that you can’t fight anymore? I swear I’m marrying an idiot. Yes, yes of course I’ll marry you!” You screamed as you hugged him. “It took you nearly two decades to ask!”
Toshinori laughed quietly as he held you close. Having you in his life was all he needed now. Maybe nearly dying was his wake up call but seeing you in such a state of distress is something he never wanted to witness again.

Hogwarts! Mingyu
@itsmultifandomshit requested: “Heyyy could you do Hogwarts! Mingyu??😊” and “Could I possibly ask for a mingyu Hogwarts au? I really love your writings their so cute~ ^^“
the boy's crazy
okay not really
but WHAT is he ON to be so good at everything?!?!
like everyone wants to know how the hell he has those looks and aces everything in school
the running joke is, "what potion are you drinking?”
even though they were highkey serious in his first year
he just gives them a smile and laughs while answering honestly,
“studying.”
okay but that doesn’t explain everything else Kim Mingyu
like Qudditch
was legit keeper since second year because he’s a tower compared to the others
and coming pretty close to being the same height as a fifth year likeee
basically LONG arse limbs
it's rare someone gets the ball through the hoop while he's playing
like the first time he played, the other team is all cocky like 'lol fresh meat ain't gonna be that good'
so right away they get a chance to shoot the ball
everyone's like the first goal of the game, on the edge of their seats
because they all think Gryffindor’s new clumsy keeper won't make it
but Mingyu stretches his hands out super calmly and catches like YOU THOUGHT AHAHA
flying around with a happy grin on his face, everyone SHOOK
and not only quidditch, he’s good at cooking, knitting, calculus, basically you name it he could do it
potions is and will always be his best and favorite subject
and his creations always turn out good too
he can space out in class all he wants and doesn’t even need a textbook
just starts throwing things in his cauldron from the top of his head and the teacher will walk by like “great job Mingyu!”
Minghao will be half-glaring, half 'what-are-you?' at the side
top of the class of course
obviously at least half of the younger portion of the girls has had a crush on him at one point or another
it kinda goes away though because Mingyu’s obviously not looking for anything and just subconsciously friend zones everyone
so he’s just known as that cute boy who can do everything
except like not hurt himself everyday
at this point no one's even surprised when Mingyu comes in with a bandage around his pinky or a giant bandaid on his head
the professor will be looking around for people that can perform the spell first, and her eyes will stop at Mingyu expectantly
and gets surprised when Mingyu’s struggling to even hold his wand correctly let alone perform a spell
“Mingyu, what happened?"
he’ll chuckle sheepishly, "well i was knitting a friend a new scarf and got scared by something so somehow my thumb broke in my process"
and by something he means one; Jun. two; Jun getting Hoshi to mess with their fireplace
he attempts to scratch his head with that hand and reels back in surprise because he forgot about his thumb
the dork
"why didn’t you go to the nurse? come then i’ll write you a pass"
"ah! nope it’s fine I'm trying to practice healing spells so i think my thumb will be fine in a couple hours"
yeah, him preforming the spell with his non dominant hand is way better than a nurse
but he manages and actually
that’s how you meet him
no not by an accident
pfft how clichee pfftt
your friend’s birthday was coming up and you know how she’s been wanting mittens and a scarf
so you go to out to hogsmeade and scavenge for some and can’t find anything perfect enough
you were a third year Hufflepuff and happened to be kinda close to Joshua
so you were just telling Joshua the prefect about your problem
and he’s like, "hey i have a friend in Gryffindor, your year, he’s great at knitting"
"OMG REALLY PLEASE PLEASE CAN YOU TELL HIM FOR ME"
he just smiles and shakes his head, "nope go make new friends, Mingyu’s really nice"
he really just wanted the both of you guys to have another friend since he thought you guys would get along well, no other intentions
well at first
you're just like okay no biggie, Joshua wouldn’t recommend him if he wasn’t good right?
one night after dinner you manage to see someone who fit Joshua’s description
and man he was cute
going up to him, you smile, introducing yourself
"hey my name’s y/n, Joshua told me you're really good at knitting so could you help me with something?"
you're half excepting him to be like no i don't make things for random people
“yeah sure! you can come back to the common room with me and choose yarn and stuff"
so the two of you make small talk, about how you know Joshua, how you guys are in the same year, random stuff
until you reach the common room and he brings down his yarn collection for you
and you're low key surprised because wow there's literally every color you could have asked for
"so what colors are you looking for"
"um my friend lives for blue and silver like the Ravenclaw she is,” you tell him laughing
he laughs also, “alright i’ll make it for you as soon as possible!"
"no!” you shake you head, “take your time i’ll need it in like two weeks”
he shakes his head and grins, “I'll give it to you when it's done”
and that’s pretty much it, you say thanks and leave
except not because you were expecting it like a week? later
because i mean you guess you kinda knew Mingyu, just as that smart Gryffindor keeper
but when MIngyu comes up to you two days later
“psstt come to the library after supper I have it”
you're not even processing it right away, just kinda like ‘what is he talking to me for’
then you're like oh dang ALREADY???
walking to the library, your mind is running miles
and you realize like damn the library is huge how am i gonna find him
nvm this guy is a clumsy third year giant,, not the best match
you catch him loudly shuffling through books
“pssst Mingyuuuu” you say, laughing as he turns around with a little jump of surprise
“AH!” he chuckles nervously at his slightly loud yell
coming back to his senses, he reaches in his bag, and pulls out the most beautiful scarf you’ve ever seen
“here i finished” he grins
“omg it’s so pretty THANK YOU” you reach into your bag trying to find your money
“here” you hand him a few galleons, making his eyes widen
“WOW WAit i can’t take this!!” he whisper yells
shaking your head, “yes you can!! this is way nicer than anything i could find at hogmeade”
you push the money into his bag and grin, “don’t worry about it alright”
thanking him again you turn around to leave with him waving at you
then stopping in your tracks, you bite your lip subconsciously, and turn around
“hey don’t be a stranger! we’re friends now!”
a bright smile spreads across his face
“yeah!”
his simple answer making you smile, you walk out a little happier than normal
you not knowing why
you both start talking together more and realize you share a few classes since you're both in the same year
but lord
don't let anyone ever tell you Joshua Hong isn’t nosy,
especially when it involves his friends
“Y/nnnnn...” he sings happily, walking down the stairs and sitting on the couch next to you in the common room
"yes?" you answer looking up from the essay you're stressing out about
"how are you and Mingyu doing?"
you raise an eyebrow at him
like okay maybe you're dense but you're not THAT dense
you know exactly what he's implying
"we're friends" you say emphasizing your words
he smirks with the gears obviously turning in his head
"well okay then," he says cheerily, "how do you feel about him"
when did he become so BOLD
you know better than to lie to Joshua, he can find out anything
so it's better to not say anything at all
you just sigh, biting your lip and get back to your essay
faintly hearing Joshua chuckle and walk away, your mind drifts away from transfiguration to a different subject
Kim Mingyu
‘agh, whatever,’ you think
you don’t wanna stress yourself out about a guy that doesn’t even think of you as more than a friend
WELL
Joshua Hong is pretty talkative with Seungcheol and Jeonghan
and you know Junhui be nosy and eavesdropping always playing that matchmaker ever since he got himself a girlfriend
then telling alllll 12 of them
so they all know,
and not a day goes by where someone doesn’t mention you to Mingyu
seriously Minghao was about to just walk up to you to scream “MINGYU LIKES YOU A LOT AND WANTS TO TAKE YOU ON A DATE SO SAY YES”
except he got stupefied by Mingyu who was totally not blushing like an idiot at the thought of Minghao exposing him
then Mingyu got detention curtsy of Jeonghan
“for not being a man”
but Mingyu’s good at stupefying people so this whole process actually gets drawn out for a while
like a couple of months of just you and Mingyu being friends
and you trying to hide your blushing cheeks whenever Joshua walks past giving you the look
until Seungkwan overhears that your birthday is coming up
gets Mingyu in a panic on what to get you
will not stop talking to Seokmin and Minghao about it
until Minghao kinda just sighs like, “knit her a scarf? go bother her friends about colors or something”
“OOH OOH” Seokmin screams getting hype, “MAKE HER FOOOOODDDDD”
Joshua walks up to you the night before your birthday
“go to the empty potions class room!” he whispers to you
you're confused as hell, flashing him a confused look, “it’s after curfew? JOshua HOng your a prefect!”
“sssh no one has to know”
you're walking to the classroom carefully, with zero clues about anything
opening the class room door, peeking your head inside slightly
your jaw drops, hands automatically pushing the door wide open at the sight
Mingyu standing right in front of you, a flower in hand, shyly grinning at you
all the classroom desks are gone and somehow it’s just a cute vintage table for two right in the middle
with beautiful arrangements of food, one flower placed on the table perfectly
“happy early birthday”
you take the flower he hands you, getting flushed
“i love this,” you sigh gently, staring at it all in awe
he smiles, the apples of his cheeks showing, and leads you to the table
pulling out a chair for you, “sit please”
you do so, placing you flower in the vase ever so carefully
you're at a lost for words honestly, “i ... why would you put so much effort in for me?”
it really is a dumb question
“because...,” he trails off for a moment, “i like you, i like you a lot”
“i-i-i” you stutter stupidly
“i should've confessed after we ate right? then at least you don’t feel...” you hear the words he mutters under his breath nervously
“no no no wait stop!” you reach over the table and food to grab his hand, holding tightly in yours
“i like you a lot too”
he just stares blankly at you, and you can see the emotion slowly coming into his eyes
“so let’s eat yeah? i don’t want to let all this food go to waste~”
the time you guys spend eating and talking really goes by quickly
as the night naturally comes to an end the both of you are much more comfortable with each other
“hey so i got you something” he scratches his head nervously
“what no you really didn’t, especially after all this” you exclaim
already he’s pulling out a prettily wrapped box out from somewhere, you don’t know
“just open it” you can tell the smile he shows is laced with worry
carefully undoing the ribbon, opening the box, your hand touches a soft material
eyes meeting a scarf in your favorite color
“Mingyu... this is gorgeous, beautiful, seriously there’s not enough words in the dictionary”
picking up the scarf, he chuckles quietly and walks close to you
wrapping this around your neck, he softly asks, “wear this at my next game?”
“that sounds awfully girlfriend-like of me to do,” you say, playing with the ends of the scarf
“will you be my girlfriend?” he asks, the tone in his voice heavy with many emotions
even though he shouldn't be worried or nervous at all
“are you expecting any other answer besides of course?”
you stand up, wrapping your arms around his waist, resting your head against his chest
suddenly you feel the wand in his pocket buzz quietly
giggling into his chest, you lift your head up to look at him, “Mingyu what even?”
“oh that!” he moves his arms from your shoulders to your waist, “well this didn’t go as smoothly as planned”
laughing under his breath for a moment, he then stares into your eyes
the corners of his mouth twitching upwards, “Happy Birthday!”
leaning down he presses a kiss right at the corner or your lips
your cheeks can’t help turning a red pink and your giggle can’t help but come out
“you dork, you really set a wand alarm?”
shaking your head, you tippy toe
and press you lips over his, smiling into the kiss
leaning back, you smile satisfied
“but that’s why I like you.”

Gods and Monsters Chapter 1: Staying Alive (Katlaska)- by Landfill
Author’s note: This is chapter one of the fic, signalling the beginning of Alaska’s downward spiral. There was a prologue too but who am I to tell you what to read and when? It will detail the beginning of a fictional European struggle, apologies for the slow burn guys. The angst will be intense! Hope you all are liking it xx
In the dream, Justin was a younger man, standing exposed in harsh club lighting. The music was pulsing, lights flashing, but the room was empty. Spinning around, the mirrored walls of the dance floor threw his image back at him like a glass of ice cold water to his face. There wasn’t a stitch of clothing on his body, the delicate bones of his younger form creating mountains and valleys over his body, red colour splashing over contoured hips and rips. His movements became frantic, desperately trying to escape the bow legged figure staring back at him from every direction. Falling to his knees, Justin closed his eyes and told in deep breaths, focussing on the sounds that swelled around him.
“I get low and I get high And when I can’t get either I really try. Got the wings of heaven on my shoes, I’m a dancing man and I just can’t loose.”
The Bee Gees. A smile slipped onto his lips, unable to ignore his amusement at the song he found himself listening to in this darkest of moments. As if on cue, two gentle hands took his frame in their grip and eased him to his feet. When he raised his head, his eyes met those of a young Aaron Coady, pupils dilated with love and face softened with concern. The man before him wasn’t marked by fame and exposure, lips and cheeks untouched by needles.
Justin felt vulnerable in his gaze and moved to wrap his slim arms around himself, but his once-partner’s hands stopped him. They were ice cold, like a shock of stone. Aaron stood, observing the younger man as though he was a marble statue, beginning to slowly trace his bones with his finger tips. He allowed his eyes to return to the mirrored walls, meeting those of a skeletal man, angular and tall. The sight brought a smile to his lips. Aaron too was slimmer in these days than his current incarnation, with his shaggy bleached hair hanging limp over his pronounced cheekbones. They were beautiful.
The movement of the place shook Justin from his slumber. He had fallen asleep with his head on Michelle’s shoulder.
“Morning sleeping beauty! Did you have a good… Justin, baby, you’re crying.” Still in the haze of his dream, he raised a hand to his face, finding it damp. He used his sleeve to wipe away his tears, becoming acutely aware of how different his body was from the one he possessed in his sleep state. Almost subconsciously, he pulled up his coat to disguise the flesh on his body that he had come to despise. The older woman had clearly seen the pain and confusion in his eyes, as she moved her hand to grip his larger one.
“Is everything alright Lasky?” He nodded and smiled, shaking himself into a more responsible state.
“I’m fine, I don’t know what that was about. I was probably dreaming that I lost the All Stars crown to Roxxxy or something…” Michelle cackled loudly, earning a glare from another passenger who was focused on typing something at three million miles per hour.
“Can you imagine how the fans would react? Oh and are you okay to share a room with Jerrick at the hotel? I booked twins for everyone by accident.” Justin nodded happily, asking about the other rooms. He honestly was happy to be shading when Jinkx, the two had become close since season five and he truly saw the other queen as his sister.
“Well I’m going to shove Brian and Aaron in the room next to yours and hope they don’t do anything too weird, and Willam and Matt in a room next to them. Danny called last minute and asked to join so he’s meeting us there and is going to be sharing a room with me on your other side. What do you think?” The younger man snorted loudly and squeezed her hand.
“I think you’re insane if you believe that the Queen of Halloween and the only high class Russian whore aren’t going to do anything weird!”
The rest of the journey passed uneventfully, with interludes such as Willam throwing peanuts at the back of Aaron’s head until he threatened to shove his head so far up his arse he’ll be able to watch the peanuts being digested. Before long they found themselves slumping onto their hotel beds. It was 6pm in Italy and Michelle had booked a three course meal for them in the hotel restaurant to welcome them to the country, assuring them that it was cheap. The silence of the room was broken by a sharp knock. Justin groaned and Jerrick called out to the visitor to come in. He was suddenly tangled in a mess of limbs as Brian threw himself into the younger queen’s bed with a surprisingly lively smile.
“Mother, I’ve been missing your whining drawl again…” Justin pouted half heartedly and gave his friend a light slap before shuffling over to make room for him. He was followed in by Aaron who was a lot calmer, letting out a quiet chuckle at the now sleeping Jerrick before walking over to join the other men.
“Why did I decide to come on this tour? We aren’t even one day in and the two of you are already harassing me! I told Michelle this was a bad idea.” Brian grinned mischievously and gave Aaron a squeeze of excitement. The other queen’s voice remained soft, eyes filled with quiet amusement.
“Lasky, you don’t think anything is a good idea, you’re a generally moody person. Probably not helped by the fact that you haven’t eaten yet today and we just got off a plane.” Though he meant nothing by the comment, Brian’s reaction was very noticeable, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked as his friend. Justin cut in before he could say anything.
“I have totally eaten today! I got a wrap on the plane! Plus all those nuts that landed on the floor after Willam missed…” He tried to keep his voice light hearted but he knew he wasn’t off the hook quite so easily. Jumping off the bed, he walked over to shake his friend awake.
“C'mon Jinkxy, time for food!” The queen rolled out of bed half asleep and the four of them began their walk downstairs.
When they reached the restaurant, Justin situated himself between Sharon and Detox, hoping that the two queens would keep their cool, he was starting to get a painful headache. As the first course (a small bowl of tomato pasta) arrived for each of them, thoughts began to plague Justin’s mind that he hadn’t entertained in years. Carbohydrates, calories, the Unknown of this food sat before him that he hadn’t prepared himself. He could feel the tops of his thighs just touching under the table and as he looked down at his wrists resting by his cutlery, they seemed to carry a lot more extra weight than he had noticed. He needed to diet. He could feel slight panic rising in his chest as he looked up across the table to where Michelle sat talking to Brian with a smile on her face, both with forkfuls of food. He knew he couldn’t just leave without eating anything or they would begin to watch what he was eating, so he vowed he would stay for a little while.
As he raised the first piece of pasta to his lips, he hated his body for craving it, and as he tasted the sauce for the first time, he hated his mouth for creating saliva. He wasn’t allowed to enjoy this act, it was disgusting, it made him weak. He struggled to swallow, afraid that the starch would stick in his throat, and his stomach did a turn. To his right, Matt made a sarcastic comment about Willam’s new single, and Justin decided to distract himself with his friend’s jokes. Their conversation make the rest of the bowl a lot easier, and Justin managed to drag his eyes away from his food to meet theirs. When he looked down again after they had got wrapped up in their own meals, he saw that there were only four pieces of pasta left. He dropped his fork, shocked at how much he had eaten, panic rising again. The table full of queens was too busy to notice, apart from Aaron, who turned his head to his old flame questioningly. Justin let out a tired chuckle.
“I’m literally falling asleep at the table, if the others ask where I am I’ve gone to have a nap, I think I’ll just slip away quietly.” His friend’s eyebrows drew together, concern etching itself in place once again.
“Are you sure Justin? I could bring you up some food later.” He assured the other queen he would be quite alright and smoothly departed with only one pair of eyes following him. He made one stop on the way, to buy two cans of Diet Coke, before locking himself in his and Jerrick’s shared bathroom. Tears were threatening to break through and panic was choking him, grasping at his airways. He couldn’t believe how much fatter he already felt after that bowl of food, and there was only one thing he knew that could take the fear away.
“Life’s going nowhere, Somebody help me. Somebody help me.”

An Unconventional Double-Decker Bus
AO3 FanFiction.Net
“Bugger it all.”
For what seemed like the millionth time in a period of half an hour, James Potter’s laptop had crashed again. He stared at the black screen, trying his hardest to prevent himself from assaulting the aggravating hunk of metal positioned on his lap. Becoming acutely aware of how pathetic he looked, he shoved the laptop aside with an almost commendable amount of self-control.
Need some air. James made up his mind. To hell with his homework, he’d find some bullshit excuse for McGonagall the next day. Of course, there was very little chance that she’d actually believe him; the one month he’d spent at King’s College London had given him and his strict Comparative Literature professor plenty of opportunity to get to know one another. James had come to the conclusion that it would take slightly more time than usual to win her over.
As he headed to the door of his small but oddly comforting dorm room, a thought struck him. Should I call Sirius?
Sirius Black was young and attractive, and not much else. Or at least so he’d immediately assumed. Until the night Sirius stumbled piss drunk into the room shared by James and Remus Lupin – a quiet, yet oddly commanding design student in his first year. It was when Sirius embarked on a rant about the finer points of classical Greek philosophy that James knew there was something extremely odd about this bloke. One thing led to another, and in a matter of ten minutes, James was almost at the same levels of intoxication as his new best friend, while Remus tried to engage Sirius in a political debate. After that night, James believed he had found a soulmate in Sirius – er, well, a soulmate of sorts. He was still the most annoying person in the entirety of London, as far as James was concerned, yet somehow, his cat had immediately taken to him. Remus wasn’t too bad either.
Despite his newfound camaraderie, he decided against inviting Sirius. He wanted to be alone right now (read: he wanted to go off and sulk under a tree). And if nothing came of that, he’d go crash Remus’s date, which led him to wonder. Who in their right mind would go on a date on a bloody Wednesday afternoon?
James locked the door behind him and set off for his adventure. Some adventure, he reflected. Taking long strides, he was out the door of Moonraker Point – which apparently the name of the building that served as accommodation for KCL students – before he knew it. Oh, this felt so much better. Countless hours spent in front of a laptop hammering away essays was no way to spend the day.
Spotting a nice-looking tree in the distance, he grinned. Beautiful. What a majestic sight it was. Knowing that he and the tree were destined to meet, he broke into a slight jog and started heading towards it. That’s when he saw a flash of red – the brightest red he had ever seen–
CRASH.
As James lay on the ground, he wondered about the nature of this mighty red beast that had come in his path. No doubt, it was a ferocious monster of some sort, and now there would be a battle.
Wait.
Not a monster.
A rather angry-looking girl with red hair was dusting herself off, two inches across from him. James perked up, despite the throbbing he felt in his arse. He knew exactly who this was.
“Rhododendron!” he exclaimed with pleasure.
The girl looked angrier now. “It’s Lily, thank you very much,” she said, focusing her glare on him.
“Oh, of course. Lily. Yes. Lily. How could I forget?” He pushed himself off the ground. He’d encountered Lily Evans once before, when he’d nearly set her backpack on fire. Holding out a hand to her, he smiled at her vaguely apologetically – at least, he hoped it was apologetic. It seemed to work, however, as her eyes softened and she used the support to help herself off the ground.
“You’re very destructive, you know that, Potter?” she sighed.
He had to admit that he was, as he thought back to the several fires he had inadvertently started over the course of his seventeen years. Of course, he did have an ego to protect.
“You should meet my cat,” he said. He missed Juniper. He only saw her on the weekends when he went home, although he was secretly plotting to kidnap her and bring her into his dorm room.
“I don’t like cats,” said Evans. James gasped. Who didn’t like cats?
“That’s outrageous. Everyone likes cats,” he said confidently.
“Yes, well, not me.”
“You’re a bit mad, then, aren’t you, Evans?”
“Says the bloke who started a fire in McGonagall’s class,” she shot back. He grimaced. That hadn’t been one of his finer moments.
“I’ll have you know that the ancient Persians worshipped fire!”
“Sorry to break it to you, but this isn’t ancient Persia.”
“I ruddy well wish it was,” he grumbled.
She raised an eyebrow at him. “You’re so odd, Potter, do you know that?” James said nothing.
“Do us all a favour and keep your destructive tendencies to yourself, yeah?” she said, her eyebrow raised. Eliciting no response from him, she started walking away. “See around, Potter.”
“Bye, Evans,” he said, running a hand through his hair. So much for that.
But as for now, he had a tree to attend to, and a cat to kidnap.
Remus wasn’t sure what to expect when Mary Macdonald asked him if he wanted to go to Tate Modern with her. He was a sucker for pretentious art, and she knew that. The three weeks they’d spent as partners in Flitwick’s Modern Art class had been hugely entertaining and had resulted in a discovery of the fact that the two shared a mutual love for hot chocolate, Terry Pratchett novels, and the Welsh band Catfish And The Bottlemen. Hell with it, why shouldn’t he say yes? It wasn’t like it would be a date.
“It’s totally a date,” said James, when asked. Remus groaned.
“There’s no way it’s a date. She would have told me if it was a date,” he insisted.
James shrugged. “Whatever you say, mate.”
Thus, Remus spent a good half an hour prior to his so-called date in a state of insecurity. Upon receiving a text from Mary requesting him to meet her at the Southbank Centre, he made a calculated and mature decision to shove his thoughts aside and go take the mickey out of some modern art.
One Tube journey later, he exited Embankment Tube Station. Despite having spent an entire month in London, the city continued to amaze him – especially the riverside. Having spent his childhood in a small town in Wales called Hay-on-Wye, being thrust into a life in central London had proved to be a bit of a contrast. He reflected upon this as he made his way across the Golden Jubilee bridge. Of course, having James Potter for a roommate made things a lot more interesting than they would have been otherwise.
The October air was chilly. Remus wrapped his coat around himself a little tighter and continued on his way, smiling at a busker who was belting out a version of Norwegian Wood with an acoustic guitar strapped to his chest. He vaguely wondered as to how the man’s fingers hadn’t gone numb, especially considering how long he’d been playing for.
Finally, having made it to the other side, he spotted Mary on a red bench shaped like a slide, the wind giving the impression that her dark hair looked like it was making an attempt to escape her face. She noticed Remus approaching and jogged towards him. The two hugged briefly.
“It’s fucking cold, Lupin,” said, oddly cheerfully.
“Wait till December,” he said, grinning back at her. Mary shuddered. “Come on, then, let’s go make fun of modern art.”
“Oh, wow, that’s what I’ve been waiting for all my life.”
“Stop mocking me.”
“Stop being mockable.”
“Mockable isn’t a real word.”
“You’re not a real word–” Remus suddenly broke off and whipped around. That voice. He knew that voice. But where was it coming from?
“Dancing queeeeen, young and sweet, only seventeeeeen…”
Of course it had to be him. Remus broke into laughter. This was too good to be true. Mary noticed what he was looking at and soon was in fits of laughter as well, at the sight of Sirius Black some ten feet away from them, a mic grasped tightly in his hands and a speaker blaring out his version of the ABBA hit Dancing Queen.
“Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, I’m here all week!” he announced as Remus and Mary headed towards him.
“Lupin, Macdonald, what a pleasant surprise!” he cried.
“Never knew you were so talented, Black,” laughed Mary.
“Very convincing falsetto,” agreed Remus. Sirius curtseyed.
“It’s an art, you see,” he said happily. Remus was inclined to agree.
“YOU SOUND LIKE MY CAT!” came a voice from the distance. Sirius waved it off. “Pish-posh, they’re just jealous.”
“Of course,” said Mary, still laughing. “I should recruit you for my band. We’d be fantastic!”
“Sorry, Macdonald, I’m a solo act,” he said, turning back to the speaker positioned behind him. “And I’m afraid I have to get back to work now. Southbank Centre is about to hear my fantastic rendition of Staying Alive.”
“Fair enough. See you around, Black.” She gestured at Remus that they should be on their way. About thirty seconds later, a voice rang out in the distance.
“WELL, YOU CAN TELL BY THE WAY I USE MY WALK–”
Peter Pettigrew was exceptionally bored. The only reason he’d agreed to visit the Tate with his sister was because she’d agreed to buy him lunch afterwards at Founder’s Arms, and that wasn’t an opportunity he was going to pass up. But now, he was starting to wonder if it was worth it. The two hours he’d spent at the museum had resulted in a fairly intense game of Clash Of Clans on his phone – until, of course, the phone battery died and he was left with no choice but to wander the museum akin to a Viking warrior charting unknown territories.
Modern art was so weird. He was convinced he could pose as a flamingo in the museum and people would consider him to be an exhibit. Art students were also very weird, he reflected. Economics students were so much simpler. His class at KCL was full of fairly normal people – which, admittedly, made it that much more boring.
Chancing upon a bench, he took the opportunity to regain some lost energy. A full minute later, he felt like screaming. This was immensely boring.
Peter made up with his mind. Hell with it, it was time to enjoy himself a little bit. Spotting an empty corner in the room he was, he made a snap decision. Quickly removing his left shoe, he jogged over to the corner and placed it there. Brilliant. Modern art. Time to see how many people would fall for this.
He wasn’t disappointed. In a matter of minutes, a large crowd had gathered around his shoe, each person staring at it as if in deep contemplation. A tourist even pulled out a DSLR camera bigger than Peter’s hopes and took a photo of the new addition to the exhibit.
Peter was delighted. He couldn’t believe so many people had fallen for this. It was then that he heard a vaguely familiar voice.
“Oi, give the poor lad his shoe back.”
Oh hell.
“And that’s how we met Peter,” finished Mary, laughing, as Peter smiled embarrassedly.
“So you made an arse out of a bunch of tourists, good on you,” said Lily, breaking into a laugh as well. Two days after her encounter with James Potter – not that she was thinking about the encounter at all – her roommate Mary Macdonald had offered to introduce her to the new friends she’d made. The three were seated in a local pub that evening, awaiting the presence of self-proclaimed ABBA-phile Sirius Black.
"Listen, I’ll be right back, I need to take a leak,” explained Peter and disappeared before Lily could blink. What an odd bloke.
Mary disappeared within the next minute as well, leaving to take a phone call (“Sirius, how the hell did you get lost?”), leaving Lily seated by herself, idly stirring a glass of lemonade. The music playing in the pub seemed oddly familiar – was it a Eurovision winner? She spent a couple of minutes racking her brain to figure it out when she heard a voice.
“Lemonade in October, Evans, are you bleeding mad?”
Of course it had to be James Potter. What were the odds?
“I’ll have you know I have a fantastic immune system,” she replied, watching Potter take a seat opposite her at the booth.
“Go on, sit down then,” she said sarcastically. He smiled pleasantly.
“Lovely attitude, there. Bet it really pays off, looking at all the friends you’ve got,” he gestured around the empty table.
“Clearly pays off for you as well, seeing as you’re spending your evenings stalking me.”
“Oh, this was purely a happy coincidence, Evans,” said Potter. Lily snorted.
“Your version of a happy coincidence is crashing into me like a double decker bus.”
“Oh, get over it, Evans, it’s been two days!”
“What if I had lasting injuries?”
“Well, do you?”
“Er, no, but that’s not the point!”
“Your face is the point!”
Lily was suddenly aware of the fact that the two were being watched by Mary, Peter, and a new appearance whom she assumed to be Sirius Black.
“Maybe if we get them some alcohol, they’ll start snogging!” Sirius stage-whispered.
“Maybe if we get you some alcohol, you’ll piss off,” shot back Lily, too riled up to give a toss about the fact that she was insulting a complete stranger, albeit a very handsome one.
“Better yet, he’ll start talking about Plato,” Potter added on. This statement attracted a few questioning looks. “It’s a long story,” he said by way of an explanation.
“So this is Evans?” Sirius sidled into the seat next to James. “I like her. She’s cooler than you, Mary.”
“You’ve known her all of two minutes!” she cried indignantly. All she got was a wink. “You’re a git.”
“I know.”
As the night went on, Sirius decided to put his fake ID to good use. Peter and Mary were a little hesitant with their alcohol, but they took to it with enthusiasm after a certain point. Potter and Sirius seemed to be veterans, and by around 11 PM, they took it upon themselves to provide the pub with a rousing duet of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
In hindsight, it was probably the duet that got all of them forcibly removed from the pub. Or maybe it was Lily’s goat impressions.
“Never again,” moaned James. “I’m never drinking with Sirius fucking Black ever again.”
This statement elicited a pillow being chucked at him by Sirius fucking Black himself. “Shut up, you prat,” moaned Sirius in a similar tone. “Ow. No more alcohol for me. Ever again.”
Peter Pettigrew nodded in agreement from his corner of the room. Remus wasn’t sure exactly when he’d agreed to become a caretaker to his friends with alcoholic tendencies, but he’d taken on the duty with a commendable amount of enthusiasm. He’d also decided that this would be the only time that’d be fulfilling this role, and to ensure this, he’d taken the liberty of stealing Sirius’s fake ID.
What a way to end a month.
“Remus?” James called out. “It was totally a date.” His face seemed to have the vague semblance of a smirk.
Remus’s ears went red. “Shut up, you prig. Go fantasise about Lily.”
“Evans is an odd bird,” mumbled James. “But she’s cool.”
So much for maintaining his dignity.

Some of you may have noticed in the last month I haven’t really been around much. My blog hasn’t been written in a month,  tweets are few and far between, Instagram has slowed down and I haven’t Vlogged much either.
Well I’ve never been shy about talking about my battles with mental health and lately I’ve really been feeling it. I’ve some things going on in my personal life which are huge contributing factors,  but it’s leaving me very flat and and fatigued. You know you’re in the thick of it when you can’t even rustle the motivation to visit your happy place and your moods are so irrational that you can flip from ok, to laughing, to crying all within half an hour.
I never write about this place of suffering for pity as that’s the last thing I want. I write about my dealings with depression because sometimes I just need to get it out as it helps with the clearing of my mind if that makes sense? And because I want to help break the stigma still surrounding the illness. Since coming out about my battles I’ve found it helps others dealing with their suffering too and if just one person feels better knowing they’re not alone then that brings a positive out of a negative.
So I’ve been feeling like utter dog shit, I just want to hide under my bed sheets and cuddle my dog, the only person I let in beyond my walls I build for myself. I haven’t been in the garden much or on the allotment and days I do rustle up some positive energy to do so it soon evaporates. One week I didn’t visit for a over week and naturally nothing got watered so I lost a lot of seedlings that were in the polytunnel.
Chelsea was creeping closer and I wasn’t sure if I could handle the visit. I was incredibly nervous because I would have to wear my game face and didn’t feel in a comfortable place or equipped to manage such an overwhelming experience but I didn’t want to let anyone down either.
I made it!
Now as my usual blogs of events go, I write at length about what I did on my visit,  what you can see at the event from a horticulture point of view. The trends, likes and dislikes, the judging etc. But today I’m writing about how such a prestigious show has chipped away at some of the dark corners of my walls to reveal a little light.
As I walked through the turnstiles, I could feel my heart begin to race. I was excited but I was incredibly nervous and could feel the anxiety setting in as I looked around totally overwhelmed. Usually I would be fine but I felt like a 5 year old looking up at all the adults in a huge crowd waiting for somebody to take hold of my hand. I took a few deep breaths as my mother in law grabbed a programme and I tried to do a little filming for a vlog but as you’ll see how overwhelmed I am and how I try pretend I’m not throughout my video you can hear me hum along to myself, I do this a lot when I feel uneasy or out of my depth.
I was lost and didn’t know what to do and the huge crowds weren’t helping so I just tried to follow my feet.
It was then I arrived at Mind Trap the only garden I had a pre agenda to see. Stood by the garden was Ian Price the designer and he was happily discussing the garden with the vistors. I had to have a listen in. Ian was explaining passionately about why he chose the plants he did and what they each represent to him within this  garden. Having a personal connection to the gardens theme I could listen and explore the concept and garden all day and as Ian and others talked away I could feel myself beginning to relax a little more.  There were many people stood there expressing their gratitude for the garden and it’s design, but more so for the story and positive light Ian had expressed.
I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to go inside the garden to have a wonder around, film and take some pictures. I did have visions of me falling into the water but managed to not make an arse of myself. You can find more information, the concept and watch the video of the garden being built here!
We then headed off to see the Artisan Gardens and to grab some lunch. I also grabbed a Gin and Tonic to help settle my anxiety.
I really am struggling to write this post at the moment and fear if I don’t post something soon then I’ll probably lose or disappoint my followers which I’ve worked hard at for the last year, but I also fear this post is total crap because I don’t know what to write right now and what should be a review of a show is in actual fact me babbling on.
I want to tell you all the truth and not hide away. I’m in a bit of a fragile place and I sincerely apologise if my distance at the moment as it seems like I’m not committed to my blog etc. I have an appointment to see my GP next week so I can get some new medication. Part of me is saying why are you sharing this shit it doesn’t concern anyone else but part of me feels like I have to keep you informed, you’re more than just followers to me, you’re my friends too. I honestly don’t know how I feel about this post right now, when I’ve written about my struggles before it’s mainly in past tense, where this post isn’t, it’s in the thick of it. Please don’t think I’m posting for any kind of response, I just want to give you an update and hope you’ll still all be there when I come back around  and thank you for your patience.
Here are a few of my Chelsea Pictures.
Brightest Blessings,
Bo xx

Chapter 31
As you got back from work on Friday night and collected your post your attention was caught by the bright yellow delivery card peeking out from behind the junk mail. You knew exactly what it was but you still doubted the possibility of him buying you more flowers.
“He’s not given up!” The same receptionist commented as she handed the bouquet over to you and eagerly waited to see what the message was this time. “Although judging by your smile this could be someone new?”
“I hope not!” You laughed back as you pulled out the card and decided to read it aloud to put her out of her misery of intrigue. “From here on in everything is new, and flowers can be for good things too. Wear something comfy and come to mine, we’ve got the weekend together and I have plenty of wine!” It was signed off T with three kisses, but you kept that to yourself as you smiled widely at the beautiful flowers.
“Cheesy bastard. Enjoy your weekend!” The receptionist’s sarcasm echoed your thoughts. It was sweet but you knew there was a tongue in cheek nature behind it and that the rest of the night, or weekend, definitely wouldn’t be following the same theme.
You changed into the clothes you’d borrowed from him and took your flowers with you as you made the short trip up to his flat. The door was pulled open before you’d even managed to knock twice and Taron was beaming back at you as he looked you over.
“Why do my clothes look better on you than me?”
“I’d be worried if they didn’t… it’s not healthy to fancy yourself that much!” You flirted as you followed him inside, loving hearing him laugh because of you.
“There’s no one I fancy more than you.”
“Awww, sweet.” You mocked him.
“I can be cute when I want to be.” He pouted back. “Got you flowers, didn’t I?”
“Yes, and they’re lovely. Cheesy rhyme included.”
“Let me get some water to put them in… Also I need to confess.” He paused as he searched through his cupboards for the closest thing resembling a vase, leaving your mind to go into overdrive at the use of the word confess.
“Go on…” You encouraged him nervously.
“I erm… only have beer or vodka to drink, not wine. But the only thing I could think of late last night that rhymed with beer was fear and we don’t need any of that, and as for rhyming something with vodka!” He settled on a pint glass and half filled it with water before placing your flowers in the top. “Nightmare!”
“You’re adorable.” The nerves you felt had melted away as you walked over to him and pulled him in for a tight hug.
“So are you.” He softly kissed your forehead as you started to pull away. “So I’m thinking we binge watch some tv or films and order in a takeaway. Chilled, cosy, with plenty of cuddles?”
“Sounds perfect, and I’m fine with beer.”
“Go find something to watch and I’ll bring the beers over when I’ve ordered the food.”
***
As the end of the third episode of a new release on Netflix drew to a close you pulled yourself away from Taron’s side and leant forward for the remote so you could pause it before auto-play kicked in. The last slice of pizza in the box was way too tempting so you picked it up and bit off the end as you turned back to face Taron.
“Want some?” He nodded in reply and happily let you feed him a bite.
“I want you more though.” He added before licking across his lips and teasing his fingers up and down your back. “Because as great as tonight has been so far… having your hands on me for the past hour has been excruciatingly distracting.”
“Thought we had all weekend?” There was no stopping you as you deliberately teased your free hand up his thigh as you continued to finish off the last slice of pizza.
“We do, but why not start as we mean to go on?” His eyes never left your fingers, waiting until they reached the top of his thigh before he grasped hold of your wrist and guided you higher up. You held the lightest touch against the denim of his jeans but couldn’t avoid feeling the hard bulge constrained beneath.
“Only if we can start from the beginning with the sex too, because the idea of fucking you right here…” You licked your finger and thumb as you got to your feet and then dropped Taron’s tracksuit bottoms from your hips to reveal you had his boxers on too.
“Fuck. You know that got to me so much that first night you slept in my bed?”
“I wanted to make sure you at least considered the option of me being more than a friend. But I got a kiss out of you, so I figured it did the job.” You straddled yourself over his lap and leant in to take his lips to yours, feeling his tongue instantly reciprocate with an extremely lustful kiss back. His hands grabbed your arse and pulled you higher up into his lap so you could feel his arousal between your legs. Kisses continued to be shared between you, slow movements and heavy pressure as your hand teased up the back of his neck.
“Let’s get this going.” Taron was the first to break away, his hands tugging the waistband of his boxers down from your hips, lowering them further as you knelt up and moved off him to get completed undressed whilst he stripped himself bare too.
“Ready?” You asked as you took hold of his hands for support and re-positioned yourself over him, looking down between your thighs at his cock as it stood to attention for you.
“Actually, wait...” Your head shot back up to his eyes, a frown of slight disbelief that he could possibly stop you from doing what you’ve both been craving from each other for so long.
“Really?” You lowered yourself back down to his thighs as you could tell from the look on his face that he actually meant it.
“Yeah, because… if I don’t say this now then it’s going to come across as cliched and, that’s not how I want it to be. You already know that you mean the world to me and that I care far too much for you, more than is probably healthy. But I’ve been recreating our path for a reason and it’s all been leading to tonight. To what should have happened first time around. The perfect cosy weekend together, full of great sex and food and getting totally lost in each other, to the point where I ask you to be my girlfriend…”
“Was that…was that you asking or?...” You beamed back to him with a nervous laugh.
“Yeah.” He reached up and ran his thumb over your blushing cheek. “Will you?”
“Of course I will!” The feel of his chest meeting yours as he sat up to kiss you, wrapping his arms tightly around your back, was everything. You’d never felt more at peace than when you were in his arms. The arms of your now boyfriend.
“Good.” He was blushing too as he couldn’t help but steal another kiss from your lips.
“So can we get back to it now, or has that soppiness killed your mood?” Both of you looked down to Taron’s crotch and then smiled back to each other.
“You think that’s going anywhere whilst you’re naked and straddling me?” His hands fell to your arse and encouraged you back up to your knees, pulling you in towards him before he moved one hand to his cock and guided himself into you as you slowly inched down onto him. You lips met again in a deliberate and tender kiss, savouring the feel of each other and taking everything in before the desires for a climax took hold.
“I’ve really missed this,” You commented softly, never looking away from Taron’s eyes as you started to rock your hips and find a comfortable rhythm. “and I don’t just mean the sex… I mean us, being together exactly as we are, saying what we think and not having to worry about anything.”
“We work.” Taron simplified your thoughts for you.
“In every single way.” He silenced you with a kiss, tracing his fingers up to your breasts and caressing them softly. He teased circles around your nipples which were already erect and asking for attention, and as he squeezed them you jaw dropped in pleasure and a sigh escaped your lips. It sent thrilling shivers down to your core and spurred you on to ride Taron harder and faster. The change in pace had him moaning tenderly as his hands continued to explore your body. He couldn’t get enough of you from your thighs and bum to your breasts and lips. Kisses and licks, light touches and dragged fingertips set your skin alight with lust.
“Mmm, go faster.” He moaned into your neck before sucking against your skin and making sure he left his mark. As you upped the pace you felt his hips thrusting up into you to keep the force too. You placed one hand to his shoulder to steady yourself and lifted his chin with the other, locking onto his eyes.
“You feel amazing.”
“So do you.” He replied as he teased his fingers down to your clit so he could watch your face screw up in pleasure.
“Oh, fuck!” You cried as you tensed up with his touch, fighting to keep your eyes open as he smirked happily up at you. “I’m right there, Taron.” You panted, lowering your hand from his shoulder to his chest as you sank deeper onto him and let him pound up into you harder and harder.
“Shit, don’t stop.” Taron grabbed your arse in encouragement, needing you to hold out for a little bit longer. You felt yourself tighten around him but you kept up the pace, bouncing quickly and crying out loudly as you struggled to hold on.
“I can’t, Taron. Fuck.” You let yourself go and threw your head back in delight as you slowed your rhythm and let your orgasm take over. Taron was swearing beneath you as he felt you come undone around him and he shot his load at the same time.
“Fuck, Y/N.” He ran his hands down your thighs as he relaxed back into his sofa and took a few deep breaths. “You really are something else.”
“Mmm, I’m your girlfriend.” You hummed back happily as you leant down to kiss him and feel his warmth against your skin.
“My beautiful, perfect, girlfriend.” He kissed you back. “Come on, let’s do this properly.” He forced some strength back to his legs as he stood up and lifted you with him, one arm beneath your bum as you wrapped your legs around him, and the other around your back as he carried you through to his bed and placed you gently down on the end. “Beer?” He offered.
“You read my mind.” You let your gaze lingered on his naked arse as he walked back out of his bedroom. If you’d have told yourself 3 months ago that you’d end up dating and then getting in a relationship with ‘the cute guy’ who lived in the same block of flats, you’d have laughed in utter disbelief. ‘He’s way out of my league!’ Is what you said to the girls all those weeks ago. But apparently that’s not the case.
“You okay?” Taron asked softly as he returned with two bottles of beer and walked straight over to you.
“Yeah.” You smiled back as you knelt up on the end of the bed and kissed him quickly.
“You looked miles away.”
“I was just thinking…” You paused to take a sip. “about how lucky I am to have you, and how impossible it seemed to even think about approaching you all those weeks ago.”
“Don’t.” Taron laughed. “You make me sound intimidating and I’m really not.”
“No, but I’d made you out to be this perfect guy which was unfair because-”
“I fucked up?” Taron interrupted you.
“No…Well yes.” You gave him a teasing smirk back. “But no one’s perfect, and no one needs someone who’s perfect either. I like you just as you are.”
“Right back at you, even if you do seem perfect to me.” He leant down to kiss you tenderly, clinging onto your lips for as long as possible. “I know I’m already falling for you.” You wrapped your arm around the back of his shoulders and encouraged him down on top of you as you lay back on the bed. Neither of you spilled a drop of beer, despite focusing entirely on kissing each other again and again. You wanted to get completely lost in Taron but you knew there was something else you had to say first. Your heart was screaming out for you to tell him now and not miss the moment. As you pulled back from his lips and placed your hand to his chest his eyes opened and met yours, with nothing but love shining back at you.
“I’m falling too.”

Chapter 54 preview
* Senior prom was a night to remember. Eren and Levi dressed to impress, and Armin by the end of the night was barely dressed at all. Sasha and Connie had spiked the punch and Armin had made the most of it, well and truly drunk by the end of the dance. Eren and Levi had been making the most of dancing up against each other, seeing they'd never got to dance at their wedding... that was crashed by a drunk Armin deciding he could twerk... which he couldn't... and he attempted to twerk right up against them. After that the two decided it was time for Armin to go home, and despite their friends begging them to stay, they both dragged Armin from the dance and out to the car. The blonde teen giggled and gushed about how handsome they both looked and how amazing the colour of Eren's eyes were. Eren assured him that Armin had beautiful blue eyes, and Armin giggled and blushed, before promptly vomiting on the side of the car, Armin looked horrified at what he'd done and immediately tried to start cleaning it up, only stopping when Eren pulled him back and put him in the front seat, the omega waited to close the door until after Levi had the car running and the windows down. Armin spent the drive home with his head out the window, giggling at the lines on the road until he got dizzy and threw up again. Grandpa took one look at Armin and sighed, he was bundled up on Levi's arms and a total mess, at some point he'd thrown up on his hands and that lead to it smearing across his suit "We'll clean him up and put him to bed" The old man nodded and smiled down fondly at Armin "So who spiked the punch?" "Sasha and Connie, we'll be sending them the cleaning bill" Grandpa let out a loud laugh "Oh to be young" "Levi... you're so manly" Armin blinked up at Levi like he was seeing him in a whole new light "Alright, time to put you to bed, before I have to get jealous over my best friend and my husband" Armin giggled "Nooo... Eren... you're much prettier, but Levi's like sexy but your sexy in another way..." "Oh god. Make him stop" Levi readjusted his hold on Armin and carried him upstairs, they washed him off they best he let them, Armin wasn't usually so handsy, and Eren ended up on his arse, before Levi picked the blonde up and carried him to his room, dumping Armin on the bed and stalking back into wrecked bathroom. Eren was still sitting on his arse "I don't know what to think? I'm a little scared that he finds us sexy" Eren's shook his head "He's drunk, but he's right, you are sexy" "Prom night sex?" "Isn't that supposed to be in the backseat of a car somewhere" "I think we can arrange that" "I thought we agreed no more car sex" "But it's prom night..." "Alright..." Levi pounced and lifted Eren up, he carried his downstairs, but not caring they were both damp "We're going out for a bit!" "Be safe!" Eren nuzzled and sucked lightly on Levi's neck "Oi, at least wait until we're in the car" Eren continued until Levi growled, he pretended to drop the omega and Eren giggled "Fine" Levi drove up to the look out, and Eren climbed from the car "You do know stripping outside the car is tampering with the experience?" Eren rolled his eyes and climbed back in, both were in struggle town as they squirmed out their clothes and into the back seat. Eren sat in Levi's lap, his back against his alphas chest and the two shared secret kisses, waiting until Eren was dripping slick before Levi finally slid in, both moaning in unison "Eren..." Levi nipped at the back of Eren's neck and Eren moaned "You want to do it tonight?" "I want to do it all the time..." "Then you can wait until after graduation" Levi bit down on Eren's shoulder and the omega yelped "Oi!" "Sorry... not sorry" Eren rose up until only the tip of Levi's erection was breaching him "Alright... I'm sorry! I'll be have!" Eren let himself drop down, screaming as Levi filled him, hitting his prostate "Mmmm... I like the way you think" Levi's hands slipped under Eren's arse, he rose and dropped his omega down over and over, turning Eren into a panting mess "Fuck... me faster" Levi lifted him and brought him down again, as Eren's fingers tore at the the front seat covers, the alpha picked the rhythm up and Eren could only sit there and leave himself in Levi's care "Eren..." "Knot me..." Levi with a loud groan and Eren with a scream, his semen splatter across the car and onto the dash, he could only fall back completely spent "I love you, I love you, I love you" Levi pressed kisses to everywhere he could "My precious perfect omega, you smell so good" Eren laughed softly "I'm glad I can do something right... and you don't smell half bad yourself..." "I can't wait to bond with you" "3 more weeks, 3 more weeks until we graduate, and you better believe that will be the night" "I know... I've been counting down..." "Tomorrow, we should go shopping... find a new bed... for the occasion" Levi nodded "And some ridiculously priced bedding..." "And huge bath towels" "We haven't even got a bath" "Yet... I already told you we're getting a bath" "I know, a nice big one, that doubles as a shower... with plenty of space to do all kinds of thing in..." "Yep... big enough you'll have to teach me to swim..." Levi snorted "I don't think we have the space, but yeah, definitely one we can both relax in" "And we can stock it with an all different bubble bath..." "That the boys will get into and flood the house with bubbles" "Yep. I can picture the chaos now" Levi's hands gently rubbed over Eren's belly, Eren hummed happily.
